Iquitos Amazon Region - Day 1: Departure at 9:00 AM
Begin your adventure in the morning, departing from your accommodation or the airport in a private car. Travel by boat from the port of Nanay, pausing to witness the confluence of the Amazon and Nanay rivers. Continue downstream for 1 hour and 30 minutes, taking in the stunning landscapes and the chance to spot freshwater dolphins (both pink and gray), herons, kingfishers, turtles, and other wildlife, along with magnificent trees, plants, and flowers. Pass by Barrio Florido and some rural villages, eventually reaching the rustic-style lodge. Embark on a boat trip to Monkey Island, where you can observe and interact with macaws, parrots, sloths, and a variety of monkey species, including woolly, titi, spider, tamarin, howler, and marmoset monkeys. Enjoy a night walk to search for spiders, snakes, lizards, frogs, and rodents, while listening to the diverse sounds of the jungle’s nocturnal creatures. Accommodation is provided at the lodge.

Iquitos Amazon Region - Day 2
Start the day with breakfast, followed by a jungle walk to learn about medicinal and edible plants. Along the way, spot some monkey species and various birds like toucans and macaws. You may also have the opportunity to climb giant trees and swing on vines like Tarzan. Enjoy a refreshing drink of cat’s claw water before returning to base camp for a delicious lunch. At night, relax and fall asleep to the soothing chorus of crickets, frogs, and other jungle animals.

Iquitos Amazon Region - Day 3
Begin with a traditional breakfast, then navigate through flooded areas to explore remote parts of the jungle. In the afternoon, go fishing, and later, embark on a night excursion on the lakes to observe alligators. The guide may catch an alligator, allowing you to capture memorable photos with this fascinating reptile. Return to base camp and enjoy the natural symphony of the jungle.

Iquitos Amazon Region - Day 4
Start the day with bird watching at dawn before breakfast, then sail upriver in search of wildlife. With some luck, you might encounter alligators and other wild animals during the expedition. Return to base camp for lunch and rest after a long day of sailing. In the afternoon, choose to go fishing, swimming, or simply relax while listening to the jungle’s sounds. After dinner, embark on a night walk to observe giant frogs, insects, and tarantulas. You might even have the chance to let a tarantula walk on your arms and other parts of your body for a thrilling experience.

Iquitos Amazon Region - Day 5
After breakfast, take a short walk into the jungle. Later, return to base camp for lunch before preparing to sail downriver towards the community. During the journey, observe various bird and monkey species. Upon arrival, explore the community, meet its people, and learn about their lifestyle and customs. You may purchase crafts offered to tourists before departing for Nauta and Iquitos, concluding the expedition at 5 PM.
