• Vinicunca Mountain - Known as “La Montaña Arcoíris”, “El Cerro Colorado”, and sometimes “La Montaña De Los 7 Colores”, this mountain’s various names stem from the creativity of adventurous travelers. However, its original name is “Vinicunca”. This mountain range evokes indescribable emotions upon visiting. The plateaus, streams, valleys, high plains, and snow-capped peaks enhance its grandeur, accompanied by animals such as camelids, birds, sheep, and the local people whose infectious happiness captivates visitors.

The journey begins at 4:00 am, heading towards the village of Cusipata (a two-hour trip) where a delightful breakfast awaits. The adventure continues through picturesque valleys, small canyons, and impressive pre-Inca terraces until reaching the Community of Cusipata.

The adventure kicks off with a breathtaking view of the Apu Ausangate. Following an introduction from the guide, the hike begins. The ascent is gradual and takes approximately two hours. Along the way, travelers will see a variety of South American camelids such as Alpacas and Llamas, as well as birds, lagoons, valleys, streams, and snow-capped peaks.

After trekking for about six kilometers, the Seven Colors or Rainbow Mountain is finally reached. This unique and magical place is a testament to nature’s whimsical beauty. After enjoying a peaceful moment in nature’s embrace, the return journey to the village of Cusipata begins, where a delicious lunch will be served.
