Salkantay Trail - The Salkantay Trail begins with a pickup from the hotel at 4:40 am. A private bus will then transport the group for approximately 3 hours, offering stunning views of the mountains surrounding the Cusco valley, including Humantay Mountain, several high Andean villages, and vast potato and corn fields. The journey reaches the town of Mollepata, where there is an opportunity to have breakfast and make any last-minute purchases. The journey continues for another hour to Callacancha (3,675 m), where the impressive valleys of Mollepata can be admired.
Humantay Lake - Humantay Lake offers an incredible scene to enjoy the Salkantay snow-capped mountain up close, with magnificent views. This adventure allows for a deep appreciation before reaching the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.
Soraypampa - Chaullay
Salkantay Trail - The day begins early at 5:00 a.m. After a hearty breakfast, preparations are made for the most challenging hike of the trail. The luggage is organized, and the hike begins with an hour-long walk to Salkantaypampa (4,100 m) for a short rest. The hike continues upward for another hour to Soyrococha (4,400 m), an ideal spot to rest, hydrate, and enjoy a snack. The trail continues for another hour to the highest point, the Salkantay Pass (4,632 m), where the snow-capped peaks and glaciers of Salkantay can be seen, along with the magnificent view of the entire mountain range.
Chaullay - Santa Teresa - Hot Springs
Salkantay Trail - The day starts at 6:00 a.m. with breakfast before beginning the hike. This day promises to be unforgettable, with a variety of flora and fauna along the way. The trail is mostly flat Andean terrain, with some short ascents of no more than 100 meters, followed by descents. From the campsite, a 40-minute walk leads to the village of Collpa (2,850 m), where the Santa Teresa valley begins. The trail continues through the Totora Valley, offering views of the previous day’s path and the mountain range. The hike to the village of Wiñay Poco takes 2.5 hours, with beautiful views of waterfalls, natural hot springs, orchids, and strawberries. In Wiñay Poco, locals harvest granadilla, a tropical fruit available for tasting. The descent continues through the jungle edge to La Playa (2,200 m) for lunch and camping. After lunch, there is time to rest or participate in alternate activities suggested by the guide. Tea is served at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and rest at the campsite.
Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes
Salkantay Trail - The day begins at 5:00 a.m. with an energizing breakfast, followed by a transport to the starting point of the activity known as ZIPLINE or CANOPY. This adventure offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Afterward, a one-hour transfer to Hydroelectric is followed by lunch. From there, a 10 km walk leads to Machu Picchu Pueblo (2,000 m). Upon arrival, accommodations are arranged at a hostel, and the time and place for dinner are coordinated. The night is spent at the hostel.
Machu Picchu Tour - Cusco
Machu Picchu - This day is dedicated to visiting the Wonder of Machu Picchu (2,490 m) with a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, exploring sacred sites, temples, palaces, the urban area, and the military zone. There are an additional 2 hours for personal exploration. At the agreed time, return to Machu Picchu Pueblo to catch the 6:20 p.m. train and bus back to Cusco.
