• Rocca Paolina - The Rocca Paolina, or Paolina Fortress, is situated in the historical center of Perugia, accessible via a door at Porta Marzia or the escalator system connecting Piazza Italia with Piazza Partigiani.
• Porta Marzia - Porta Marzia is integrated like a blind arch in the masonry of the Rocca Paolina, a majestic work of 16th-century architecture extending over the vast quarter of Colle Landone, the southern elevation on which Perugia stands.
• Fontana Maggiore - The upper marble basin has twelve sides divided into twenty-four smooth panels of pink Assisi stone. Each is separated by an equal number of white Carrara marble statuettes set on ledges between the panels. Some figures represent historical and legendary figures of the city, while others are symbolic.
• Duomo - The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is located in the historical center of Perugia on Piazza IV Novembre, with its southern façade facing the square.
