Kings Canyon and surrounds - Alex our guide was excellent and took us at just the right pace around the rim walk. The our bus driver was also really informative and made the whole trip excellent. Stopping at the stations there and on the way back was also excellent and helped us really understand the area and how people had settled it

Kings Canyon trip with Canyon rim walk - A Challenging walk but fortunately cloud cover kept the temperature down. The landscape is unique. Access enabled because of stone steps and wooden walkways when required.

What a FANTASTIC day! - It was a long, but fantastic day! I did the canyon wall walk and my wife did the valley walk. We both enjoyed our walks. Being 66, the first part of the canyon wall walk was a bit challenging (starting the first climb of 500 steps), but after that, the walk was very doable. Both walks had great views. The guides were knowledgeable and interesting. They were very aware of their surroundings and conscious of safety. The breakfast was good and filling and was included with the trip. Lunch had a good selection and was also good which you buy. I would highly recommend this trip. You see and experience the outback. It is an amazing long day!

Very early start but well... - Very early start but well worth it. We took the shorter walk but it was still very enjoyable. We learnt about the different foods you can eat of different trees and bushes. Breakfast and lunch was good and pool was a nice and refreshing after walk as was a very hot day .

Worthwhile trip to do at Ayers rock but a long drive - The trip is a long day travelling around 600km in total taking 3 hours to get to kings canyon. The journey was worthwhile although a good degree of mobility and flexibility is required, particularly at the starting 500 steep and roughly carved steps no hand rails to start your walk. Although if you are less mobile you get the option for a shorter easier walk and more time in the kings canyon resort. Hayley provided excellent information and ensured the group remained safe at all time. Phil the driver was also excellent and added his own input.

AAT Kings Kings Canyon tour - Amazing tour. Alex is an incredible tourguide. I didn't choose to do the rim walk, but his stories during the were incredible. Brad is an amazing chauffeur but also as a guide an the creek walk. Breakfast was delicious. A long day but worth it. And as an extra we saw Mt Conner (from a distance) but it was a nice addition.

Amazing hike, but overall trip needs some work - Kings Canyon is amazing and the rim hike was unbelievable. However, this particular tour could use some improvement. I felt a bit misled by the promise of breakfast at the Kings Creek Cattle Station. It is little more than a glorified outback truck stop with a gas station, a bathroom, a little coffee shop, and breakfast was in a barn of sorts with picnic tables. We ate and left. We also felt misled by the Kings Canyon "Resort" portion of the trip. We had 45 minutes to eat lunch. There was no opportunity to swim. The use of the word resort to describe the place was extremely generous. It appeared to be a rundown place with an expensive bar and grill for lunch. As far as the hike itself in King's Canyon, the sites are amazing. However, there needs to be 2 guides on the rim hike. We had someone get sick and our guide left us for 45 minutes with no communication so part of the group continued the hike and part waited. With 2 guides one could have handled the medical issue and one could have continued with the group. It would also allow one guide to move a bit faster with the people who were more fit and one guide to stay with the slower folks. Alternatively, there needs to be stricter screening done because the hike is strenuous and the less fit people were very slow and kept us all out there in the hot sun for much longer than we needed to be. Also, our guide was terrible. He had been in Australia for all of 2 months and acted like he was a native. Alex was boring, hard to understand at times, and generally just pretty lame. Honestly the guide was the worst part of the trip.
