Arrival in Lukla (2,860m) trek to Phakding
Phakding - Upon reaching Lukla, trekkers will meet their guide and porters who will accompany them throughout the journey. Dudh Koshi River - Trekkers may choose to pause, continue walking, take photos, or relax along the way.
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Namche Bazaar - After breakfast, cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and continue trekking. Pass through beautiful pine forests and several small villages like Jorsalle. Ascend steeply, crossing more suspension bridges, and reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. After obtaining the necessary permits, continue uphill to Namche Bazaar. The trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar - This is an essential rest day to allow the body to acclimatize to the high altitude. Trekkers have the option to hike to the Everest View Hotel, which offers stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Alternatively, they can explore Namche Bazaar, visit the local market, and immerse themselves in Sherpa culture.
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m)
Tengboche - Resume the trek with a gradual ascent, enjoying breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other surrounding peaks. Pass through forests of rhododendron and juniper trees. Descend towards the Dudh Koshi River, cross a suspension bridge, and climb uphill to Tengboche. Tengboche is renowned for its beautiful monastery, offering panoramic mountain views. The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche takes about 5-6 hours.
Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m)
Dingboche - Descend through a dense forest, cross the Imja Khola (river), and ascend to the village of Pangboche. Enjoy close-up views of Ama Dablam, one of the most iconic peaks in the region. Continue trekking through open landscapes and reach Dingboche, a picturesque village with terraced fields. The trek from Tengboche to Dingboche takes about 5-6 hours.
Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Dingboche - Another rest day for acclimatization. Trekkers can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill or the Chukkhung Valley to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the day exploring the village and experiencing the local way of life.
Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)
Lobuche - Resume the trek, following the trail along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Pass through Dughla and ascend to the memorial site dedicated to mountaineers who lost their lives on Everest. Continue trekking along the moraine and reach Lobuche, a small settlement nestled in the mountains. The trek from Dingboche to Lobuche takes about 5-6 hours.
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m)
Everest Base Camp - Start early in the morning and trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. The trail takes trekkers through rocky terrain and glacial moraines. Reach Gorak Shep and have a quick lunch to refuel for the final leg of the journey. Leave backpacks at the teahouse in Gorak Shep and continue towards Everest Base Camp. The trail to Everest Base Camp is challenging and involves traversing the Khumbu Glacier. Enjoy the incredible views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks. Spend some time at Everest Base Camp, soak in the atmosphere, and take memorable pictures. Afterward, trek back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay. Please note that reaching Everest Base Camp is weather-dependent and may vary based on the group’s pace and conditions. The total trekking time from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and then to Everest Base Camp is approximately 7-8 hours.
Gorak Shep - Trekkers will stop at Gorak Shep for 30 minutes to enjoy the stunning view of mountains and continue the trek.
Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) - Pheriche (4,371m)
Kala Patthar - Begin early in the morning to catch the sunrise from Kala Patthar, one of the most famous viewpoints in the Everest region. The hike to Kala Patthar is steep and challenging but offers breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other Himalayan giants. Spend some time at the summit of Kala Patthar, capturing the mesmerizing sunrise views. Descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. Afterward, start trekking downhill towards Pheriche. Pass through Lobuche and continue through Dughla, crossing the Khumbu Glacier. Descend through the valley, enjoying the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains. Reach Pheriche, a small village in the Khumbu region, and spend the night there. The trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and then to Pheriche takes about 7-8 hours.
Kala Patthar - Trekkers will pause for a while to snap photos and enjoy the view of the mountain at Kala Patthar and continue their trek.
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar - Start the day by descending through Pangboche and Tengboche. Cross suspension bridges and pass through forests of rhododendron and juniper. Continue the descent, following the trail along the Dudh Koshi River. Reach Namche Bazaar and take some time to relax and explore the market. The trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar takes about 5-6 hours.
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Lukla - Continue trekking downhill, crossing several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Pass through small villages and enjoy the scenic landscapes. The tour ends. Descend steeply towards the Hillary Suspension Bridge, and from there, the trail becomes easier. Trek through forests and arrive in Lukla, where the journey began. This marks the end of the trek. The trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla takes about 6-7 hours.
