Stunning museum of our founding - Set aside some time. This is an amazing story of our founding. The displays are so well designed....following the beginnings through the hardships..and ultimately through to our wonderful country. Loved the focus on the unique people.

An extremely well done and thorough but not overwhelming look at the American Revolution - A thorough and well thought out museum enhanced by artifacts and very well done multimedia. Tastefully handled complex issues regarding the Native Americans and slaves during revolutionary times. We brought our 15, 17 and 19 year old and they were all engaged throughout. The video at the start provides a great and inspiring overview of the Revolution. We also loved the multimedia presentation with George Washington's War tent. Can't recommend this museum enough!

The museum is well done... - The museum is well done and well worth a visit. We only had an afternoon and didn’t see everything we wanted. If you are a museum type person, give it a 6 hours. The video presentations take a couple of hours alone.

Thrivent activity - This is a great place. Many great displays. Presentation is well balanced and presents the war from many perspectives: the British, the Americans, native Americans, slaves, women. Many artifacts including Washington’s actual tent. Guides are knowledgeable. All videos have text too. Allow several hours. There are benches and elevators as there are several floors.

Wonderful museum great history! - A beautifully done museum. The audio option was good and gave you time to explore on your own. I appreciated the unbiased presentation of the historical facts. Well worth the money of $27. Allow at least 2 hours more if you can.

If you want to truly understand the American Revolution, come here. You will not be disappointed. - This was an unexpected excellent experience. We spent about 3 hours touring this museum. They had loads of things to see and even touch. The exhibits showed Washington's actual tent. It explained the battles fought. Explained the native American Indians part in the Revolutionary War. The only bad experience was with school age children who were brought in to see this museum by their schools. They were loud and it became impossible to hear the audio portion. I believe that, since we are celebrating the 250th birthday of the USA, this will happen a lot. An aside: About a block away, there is another historic house to see which was the first meeting place of Congress. This whole area where the museum sits is chock full of history. A few blocks away is the convention hall.
