Amazing Day - What a day ! Arrived from the water taxi from the cruise port around 9am, team were all set up and waiting with the beds waiting. Very organised with bookings designated. Initially I was disappointed to be on the 3rd row back however, I need not have been as it was a quick hop to the water and near enough to hear the music. Brilliant service all day from the team and the owner came by and spoke to every party there on the day! What a top team !! Drinks delivered quickly and food was exceptional, don't pass on the creole wings... All you would want in a beach day with inflatables for use too. Hopefully we will be back soon Don't miss out on spending a day here

Easy beach day excursion from port - I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, booked as a shore excursion for a port day. Honestly it delivered beyond my expectations. The beach probably isn’t the nicest on the island, but if your plan is for an easy day at the beach this worked perfectly! Good food and excellent staff.

Loved the Location and Service! - We were very pleased and impressed with Big Bastard’s location on the beach and service. The young folks that provided beach service were friendly and very professional. We will definitely book with them next time we are there!

Excellent - would come back! - The owner personally came out & greeted all of the guests! The food was outstanding, and the drinks kept coming, even right out to the edge of the water - talk about service!

FAB day > warm welcome, with everything you need at Big Bastard's ++ Cdn-owned! - FANTASTIC experience at Big Bastard's Beach Bar for a half-day visit off a cruise. Quick trip over from the cruise port via ferry. Check-in after purchasing online via TripAdvisor was beyond smooth/easy. They had our name top of tongue and a nice spot ready for us to enjoy our beach day! Our decision at Philipsburg beach was made once we learned the owner, Miguel, was Canadian. True to our Cdn nature, he took some time to come see us and ensure we settled in properly and had eveything we needed for the day. Free inflatables for the kids was a great bonus! We had a nice chat that reaffirmed our choice to visit Big Bastard's. Thank you for a FAB day, Miguel!! And special thanks to Serafina and Anthony, who were ever-present, always smiling 😁 HIGHLY recommend for a stress free/lax day in Philipsburg/Saint Maarten 👌

Great time - Great as always. Booked well in advance, although it isn't necessary. The staff were attentive, bringing food and drink whenever you raised your hand. Clean and tidy bar, clean toilets and we'll always book here and right on the front row. Thanks for another great time.

Exceptional hospitality - Lovely location to sit by the beach. The friendly staff treated us very well. Jeremy was our exceptional host. Later in the day the owner stopped by to chat with each person there, making sure our visits was good. Food was good. We walked down the boardwalk can compared the competition. Highly recommend this location.
