Excellent and well-paced hike with Alex - Just got back from a Jan 2024 cruise and did a wonderful hike with Alex, who took us on the Sentry Hill trail, up to the Radio/Cell Tower. I contacted the company directly as I wasn't sure if they could accommodate our docking time, which was after their scheduled hike, but they were very flexible and got us hiking within an hour after we docked. Checking into the office was easy and their location was a straightforward walk from the ship (maybe 10-15 minutes) in St. Maarten. It ended up being just my husband and me on this tour, which made the trip special as we got to know Alex well. He gave us info about the island and about himself. He kept us going at a good pace, and although we could have asked him anytime to slow down, it was a nice challenge. We live in Florida so it's quite flat and this hike had a good slope up for some beautiful views at the top. It took us about an hour and a bit to go up, and about an hour to come back down, spending about 15-20 minutes at the top, where we enjoyed some snacks and water that he had carried for us all the way up! I blew out one of my hiking boots coming down and after we got back in his jeep, Alex even stopped at a store where we could buy crazy glue, on the way back to the ship. After the tour, the company even sent pics to us that Alex took of us on the hike! We wouldn't hesitate at all to book with them again...such a nice break from the usual beach/city tour/shopping excursions that don't let you really feel the lay of the land.
