Very worthwhile - guided by a survivor - It was very moving (at times it was a bit much information) and hearing it from a survivor made it even more emotional. They collected us on time and returned us to our hotel. The van air-condition worked well even in the heatwave we had :) Would not recommend for young children. Doing with a guide like this was much better than just hiring an audioguide.

A great insight into the atrocities performed by the Pol Pot regime. - Very worthwhile but sobering tour of the turmoil and genocide in Cambodia, perpetrated by Pol Pot. Our excellent guide Ran, told the story from somebody who grew up in those dark days. Highly recommend this tour to understand how the despot Pol Pot ruled in Cambodia in the late 70’s .

Helpful guide, HOT in March - The pickup was convenient and in an air conditioned van. The tour guide Nin was very knowledgeable, but more notably she was extremely helpful when I experienced symptoms of heat exhaustion, bringing water and finding me air conditioning. (Be advised this tour is entirely open air with some shade.)

Its a must see tour though very daunting and emotional 😢 - We booked a tour thru Viator for 15 people was an easy process and our tour guide and bus arrived on time and Mr Ruoen was our guide. He was excellent he made the tour, very informative and emotional at the same time he told us the story from his heart and from his experiences. Its a tour not for the faint hearted but something visitors must do highly recommend the tour and Mr Ruoen.

Educational and emotional tour of two prime sites - The Tour provides plenty of time at both the Killing Fields and Genocide Prison. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and able to provide personal reflection from his own families suffering. Our driver DaRa couldn’t have been more helpful with regular bottles of cold water. Very educational, emotional and good value. Take cash for the entrance fees.

Excellent tour - We had an excellent tour today with Ran as our guide. He gave us a lot of history and context about the regime both before and during our visits to both the killing field and the genocide museum, as well as spoke about his personal experiences. It is quite a heavy and sobering experience but important to understand and learn from.

Eye-opening experience - This was an incredible tour! The tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. He did a great job telling the history of Pol Pot and including his own history as well. This was a must see experience, I am very grateful to the tour guide and driver. Very comfortable bus with AC and cold water available.

Tour picked us up at hotel, we went to killing fields and then the school turned into a prison. - I had such an incredible experience with this tour! Our guide and driver were amazing. Our guide was so kind and so informative, I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Phnom Penh. There was always water available and the guides own story telling was amazing and touching.

Go with guide Nin to understand - What an amazing four hours learning about what happened at these two sites and how the political story allowed it to happen. It was all made real to us by our guide Nin who, with very good English, spoke slowly and clearly and gradually revealed the horrors. We felt that although we heard accounts of a horrifying nature it is important that these events are known about to prevent them happening in the future. The Cambodian people have made the Killing Fields and S21 into tranquil and respectful places. Thank you Nin and your driver for making us understand.
