• Independence Monument - Built in 1962 to commemorate the Khmer people’s independence from French colonization, which lasted from 1863 to 1953.

• Koh Pich City Hall - Diamond Island, an expanded island, has become a commercial and residential hub, under development since 2000.

• Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Once a high school, it was converted into a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime, where 12,000 victims were held.
