• Royal Palace - Today, a friendly and professional English-speaking guide will meet travelers at the Phnom Penh Tourist Cruise Port, arriving from Vietnam or other locations. The pickup time is flexible and can be chosen during booking. After pickup, the guide will escort visitors to the Royal Palace, constructed in 1866 by the French after King Norodom moved the royal capital from Oudong. Situated on the western banks of the Tonle Sap and Mekong River, the palace complex showcases magnificent Khmer architecture, divided into four main sections.
• Silver Pagoda - Within the Palace grounds lies the Silver Pagoda, named for its floor made of 5,329 silver tiles. Visitors can learn about the Khmer kings who resided here, except during the Khmer Rouge’s control in 1975. The Silver Pagoda houses gold and jeweled Buddha statues and features the Angkor Wat style Bell Tower.
• Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Next, visitors will explore the turbulent history of the Khmer Rouge at the notorious Tuol Sleng Museum. Once a high school, it was transformed into the infamous Security Prison 21. The Genocide Museum recounts the story of the Killing Fields and the torture and executions from 1975-79. Exhibits share the stories of some of the estimated 20,000 prisoners who perished.
• Choeung Ek Genocidal Center - The serene green fields of Cheung Ek may not reveal the horrors that occurred there. Located 17km from Phnom Penh, Cheung Ek gained fame from the film “The Killing Fields.” Today, a large memorial honors the 17,000 victims who died under Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot. The memorial’s remnants and mass graves serve as a reminder of the victims’ suffering. This journey into Cambodia’s past offers insight into the Khmer Rouge regime’s cruelty and highlights the resilience and courage of the Cambodian people in rebuilding their nation.
  Return to the city center for breathtaking views of the Tonle Sap and Mekong River Side before the tour concludes. The tour ends with a return transfer to the hotel or any requested drop-off point within the city center.
