A Sobering Experience - It is a difficult tour, but an essential one. Our guide, Cheath, was deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and committed to preserving the memory of this tragic history. Having a guide allowed us discuss and ask questions which made the whole experience even more meaningful.

Thought provoking - Dark and somber on a hot, bright, humid morning. Cheath was our guide and was extremely informative. I've been to Auschwitz, so was kinda prepared

We recommend this tour! - Our guide Cheath was very informative, expressive and funny- and we could tell he cares about his work. The fields and museum were interesting and though sad, I am glad to have learned about them and seen them first hand. Definitely recommend this tour for anyone in Pnom Penh

An emotive trip about harrowing events that reminds us of how unfortunate others lives can be - Sum Cheath was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. He was polite and friendly and a great communicator. He got in touch before the tour to arrange the meeting point very simply. It was an emotive tour. Some of the stories were harrowing.

Guide is nice but the tour is not worth it - Better to do it yourself. The guide was nice enough and I appreciated his knowledge and that he communicated prior regarding the pick up time. Other than that there was no additional value in doing a tour. He drove us there, gave a short summary and then allowed us time to explore the places by ourselves. Honestly would be better to just get a grab there and do it with an audio guide so then you can at least know what you are looking at. We already had to buy all the tickets ourselves so there wasn’t much added value. Plus doing it yourselves means you can go at your own speed. There was no introduction with the group so we barely spoke to each other. Also we went to the killing fields first which I didn’t like as the prison provided a lot of context and photos of the killing fields which would have helped understand the context more when we were there. We met 3 survivors but they didn’t speak or tell their story and then we were strongly encouraged into buying their books to support them. Whilst I respect them and their story I personally don’t like feeling pressured into spending more money. I would recommend you read a brief summary on the context around the Khmer Rouge. I watched first they killed my father before I went which really helped me understand what it was like during that time. Honestly not a bad experience but just felt like it wasn’t worth it. Guide was nice though
