A very thought provoking and upsetting trip - A very thought provoking trip. It was very well organised and our guide was very informative and respectful in how he described the atrocities that took place. He spoke excellent English and was easy to understand.

Excelent tour - Really recommendable tour, is not the typical tour where you have fun and smile all the time, but I think that should be a must in your visit to Phnom Penh in order to understand more about Camboya. Our tour guide "Baboon" was always open to explain and give context on each stop. 10/10

Definitely recommend - Cambodia’s history is a complex one and while this tour is not for the faint of heart, it’s a necessary one to learn about this complex history. Baboon was a lovely guide, a true embodiment of the spirit of Cambo. His family, like many others, suffered greatly but they have persevered! Very much recommend this tour and also great value for the price.

Breathtaking experience - This is a trip that is build around one of the worst and most impactful events in the history of Cambodia. You are being picked up from the hotel. Then, you visit the largest of a total of over 400 killing fields near the center of Phnom Penh. Then the second stop is at the S21 prison in Phnom Penh. During the trip the guide explains many details around the history and the events that have taken place. You get free water from the tourguide as well.

Heartbreaking but a great tour providing insight into the tragedies of the Khmer Rouge. - A very difficult topic and extremely sad to see the dark history of Cambodia. Our guide Sum Cheath did a fantastic job at explaining the history and tragic stories behind the killing fields and Khmer Rouge. One thing to note for future travellers, you must cover your legs, shoulders and back when visiting the killing fields to pay respect to the victims (there is a sign at the front). Luckily I researched this before I visited, but there were a few travellers who did not.

Difficult day but a must do - Baboon was a wonderful guide. He prepared us for the difficult day ahead and was an amazing, factual but compassionate story teller. He shared his personal connection as well and expected the tears that were shed

Highly recommend - Mr Baboon and Mr Tea were very kind and informative. They'll provide you with water throughout the whole trip. They'll pick you up at your hotel or at a meeting point. As for me, I chose the meeting point since its a min walk from my hotel. They were right on time and on schedule. Along the bus drive, Mr Baboon gave us a brief historical background of the country, gave some tips, and also a restaurant recommendation. He is humorous and funny. The tour was precisely 4 hrs max. We started at the killing fields since it was a bit father from the city center. The last desti was the S-21 prison. The whole tour was very informative. Highly recommended tour. Please bear in mind, the tour is not something fun or exciting. The tour tells the dark history of the Cambodian people, so just a heads up, show respect in how you take pictures and your way of clothing. Taking a solo or group picture with the skeletons as a backdrop and smiling is not the way to show respect.

Heartbreaking historical tour that is a MUST BOOK - While this is an emotionally difficult tour I believe it is an important tour to book. The subject matter is beyond what you can imagine and unfortunately part of the Cambodia's history. My guide, Sum CHEATH, is a professional, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared personal experiences. He is relaxed, soft-spoken, pleasant and injected mild humor in between the heartbreaking moments to break the heaviness of their history. The tour bus was very comfortable and our driver could not have been nicer. I recommend booking and learning. A few observations: Sum CHEATH repeated many of the more sickening details repeatedly throughout the tour causing me to finally start walking away while he was speaking and his is English was hard to understand many times during the afternoon.
