Phoenix to Grand Canyon & Sedona: The Best Way to See It All - Our experience on the private Grand Canyon and Sedona tour was excellent. They picked us up at our hotel on time and dropped us off as scheduled. The itinerary for the entire trip was clearly explained to us. The van was air-conditioned, and we were very comfortable while traveling. The oversized windows allowed us to maximize our views while driving. Our tour guide shared interesting facts throughout the journey. We had plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking views at the Grand Canyon, and we loved the shopping in Sedona (the views there were amazing!). You will not be disappointed with this excursion. Thank you, Uncle Vincent, our tour guide! ;)

Best in the West! - We’ve done 4 excursions in AZ with Detours and they always exceed expectations. Always on time, safe and professional guides with a wealth of knowledge on the areas. Great communication all around. Highly recommend and we will definitely use them again when out west.

Unforgettable Grand Canyon tour – book it! - I did this Grand Canyon tour last Tuesday and absolutely loved it. From the start, our guide Mark H set a warm and friendly tone — he was not only funny but also incredibly knowledgeable about the history and geography of the region. His commentary added real depth to the experience and made the day feel like so much more than just ticking a national park off my bucket list. The tour bus was small, but comfortable and spacious. As a solo traveler, I sat up front and enjoyed amazing views on the drive north. The air conditioning was great, and Mark checked in with us regularly to make sure everyone was comfortable. Seeing the Grand Canyon in person was incredible. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect — but the scale and beauty of it blew me away. Mark took us to multiple viewpoints for photos, and there was also the option to walk part of the Rim Trail to the village. I chose to do the walk (about 40 minutes with lots of photo stops), while others took the bus and had a sit-down lunch. I grabbed a quick sandwich and enjoyed the view. The drive back was scenic and relaxed. We stopped in Sedona for a short walk around town and visited Bell Rock, one of the area’s well-known vortices. After a big day (starting at 5:20am!), I appreciated the chance to rest on the drive home and got back around 7:30pm. I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was informative, well-paced, and enjoyable. As a woman travelling alone, I felt totally comfortable and safe the entire time. Mark was a fantastic guide, and I also really enjoyed meeting the other travelers on the tour. If you’re thinking about booking a Grand Canyon tour, take this as your sign — go for it!

Perfect for 1st trip to the canyon - This was my first time to the south rim so it was perfect. Going with a tour guide who could point out some of the good hiking areas and he was very knowledgeable about the history, both factual and anecdotal. It was comfortable for a solo trip. there were three others also going solo. I would have liked more time at the canyon to explore and maybe do a short hike for those wanting to go to Sedona for the first time I recommend a trip that only does Sedona. The tour only spends an hour there and it is way too short to really Enjoy all Sedona has to offer. I didn't mind cause I had already been there several times overall great trip great tour guide great people on the trip. It was a lot of fun.

I learned so much on this tour - Fantastic full day tour with a stop in the delightful and beautiful Oak Creek area near Sedona. Our guide Han was fun and full of facts and trivia and he really built up the anticipation for the big 'reveal' at the Grand Canyon 😄. The communication with the company was easy and I really recommend the tour. Oh yeah, the Grand Canyon was wayyyyy more impressive than 'grand'!!!

We were hesitant if we should rent a car and drive instead. So grateful we did not! - We were not expecting the incredible drivers and guides, Mark and Bruce! (We stayed overnight within the Grand Canyon Village) They were absolutely terrific and made this a trip of a lifetime! We have visited Arizona before and rented a car to explore the sights. This trip was much more informative, fun, local, and relaxing! We were so grateful to have fabulous drivers/guides! We had a lot of rain and also snow. Roads were not easy to navigate, but Brue drove with care and patience. He also drove us to our hotel, which was not on his list. He went out of his way to drop us off and provide us with valuable feedback on our hotel and its location. We would never have known the park and festival near the hotel. The Overnight stay in the Grand Canyon is a must! Mark allowed us extra time to customize our trip and also had direct knowledge of which entrance to choose for less wait times. Mark also escorted us to the hotel lobby to confirm we were in good hands and had a smooth check-in. The drive was over 5 hours, but both guides were excellent in keeping the passengers entertained or speaking softly when we were drifting off to sleep. It was perfectly timed, and we had access to water, washrooms, lunch breaks, and more. We were also welcome to eat our snacks and other items during the drive. The other guests were lovely, and it was nice meeting new people from different parts of the world. Would use Detours again- memories of a lifetime!

We absolutely loved this tour! - This was an incredible tour! Our guide Vincent was personable and had a tremendous sense of humor while sharing so many interesting facts about Arizona! Our 14yr old complimented Vincent on what a “great driver” he was! Vincent was accommodating and flexible (including when we needed a bit of extra time at a stop or if we wanted to consider deviating a bit from the planned itinerary). We highly recommend this tour and this tour guide!
