As the sun sets and night falls, the group will venture into the desert. When the only illumination comes from the stars and distant city lights, everyone will switch on their special “black light” flashlights provided for the hike.
Be astonished by the number of bioluminescent wonders revealed by the magic light, invisible in daylight or with a regular flashlight. Marvel at glowing insects, minerals, and fossilized algae, among other fascinating objects.
For added fun, enjoy the sight of your group lighting up like glow sticks when the purple beam is directed at them.
After discovering cool finds and capturing unique photo opportunities, the group will return to the starting point.

- Piestewa Peak - The adventure begins with a brief introduction just before dusk at a little-known trailhead in North Phoenix.
