Ayutthaya day trip with the great Khun Geng - My sister and I were treated to a fantastic day at Ayutthaya historical park by Khun Geng. Even though it was just the 3 of us, he gave us the full experience and more. He was very polite, informative and personable; educating us on what we were seeing while maintaining great conversation. Our party was small but he was still willing to drive us in his vehicle and surprise us with local food along the way. Khun Geng was one of our favorite people we met in Thailand and we will remember this adventure forever! Thank you from Megan and Alex Lilley.

A great day, don't miss this opportunity to leave Bangkok and see some village life mixed with amazing temples and history. - The size of the party is unknown until 08:00 when we meet the host for the day (Mr Geng). My trip was just one guest, me! I felt lucky and privileged as we left the meeting point heading for our first Pit stop, coffee and comfort ahead of a 40 minute drive to the first temple. Mr Geng is incredibly knowledgeable and as the stop is timed well there were fewer people around so have the time to stop and contemplate in peace was very welcome. We move on, away from the highways passing through smaller village down side tracks and discovering a temple nearby with much history and discovery. Next, the giant golden Buddha, now fully restored and set in an area fighting scenes, cruel fairy tale scenes, torturously hideous scenes all depicting the morality of life. Lunch was a short drive away to a cafe set in its own grounds (Notre Maison!!) Small, but a huge great lunch-sized menu (I chose a beef curry dish, absolutely delicious). Coffee is great too. Now the disappointment, and nothing to do with the tour company; The temple famous for its playful monkey population can no longer have that claim to fame. Local politics has decimated the numbers to a few that still roam the streets, unkempt and pretty doleful. It's a long journey back to Bangkok so be prepared for long traffic ques as there are many ongoing road repairs going on.

Wonderful day tour - We really enjoyed our day with Mr Cheng he was a fantastic guide and was full of information At the moment the monkey temple at Lobpuri is not suitable to visit but we were taken to another temple in Ayutthaya where we got to feed monkeys which was a great experience. we also had lunch at a wonderful cafe after seeing the big buddha . The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The perfect day tour outside Bangkok - Had a wonderful time! The guide, Geng, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, providing great info about Thai history and culture and personalizing the tour to meet our interests. We visited a variety of temples/wats, each with different styles and interesting features, lunched at a quiet cafe, and ended the day with an entertaining community of monkeys. Geng’s excellent driving skills were a bonus, as we made our way through Bangkok traffic and around the countryside. It was a great day — thanks, Geng!

We had a tour... - We had a personalized tour because it was just me and my partner. The tour overall was good and the guide was very attentive to us all the time. Of all the places we visited the last two were not so interesting, but the others clearly made it worthwhile

Not kept what promised and paid! - The explanations of the good English speaking guide were good. However, a crucial point is that the advertised program was not fully implemented, as the temple Phra Prang Sam Yot (item 4 in the program) and the old town of Lopburi (item 5 in the program) were not visited. But this was the main reason I booked the trip with Viator. The tour guide said that there are no monkeys in Phra Sam Yot (or very few), so he led the group to another place where there were lots of monkeys ... but just no archaeological site with Khmer and Lopburi architecture. Therefore, this was not an equivalent replacement for the Phra Prang Sam Yot temple. That this temple is located on the outskirts of Lopburi, this point of the program was also omitted according to the announcement - without replacement. This not only reduces the travel experience, but also means that the tour operator has not provided the booked and paid services, so that I as a participant have a financial disadvantage. Therefore, I demand a refund of 20 to 25 percent of the total price (48 euros), i.e. 9.60 to 12 euros, from the tour operator - via Viator - I cannot recommend the trip because of the itinerary, and VIator should also check the reliability of the Thai partner provider.
