Great day out. - Went to the pickup location which is in front of the HoHo office at 9.45am ish. Was checked in promptly by the driver. Very smooth and professional. 10.00am Tour starts and we head into Blenheim. Great commentary along the way. People get off where they want. I went to the Omaka Classic car museum because I'm a die hard petrol head. Fantastic place. So many cars to geek out on. The smell of oil and old interiors of the beautiful machines was so good. I dont remember how much time I spent at the museum but started to get hungry. Hopped on the bus and made my way down to the Woodbourn Tavern for a late lunch. Definitely got too happy with the pints. The staff at the Tavern let me sample some of the beer to help me choose my next pint. Cheers to them. After my early happy hour I hopped on the bus when I can and went to Vines Village. You can do wine tasting, whiskey tasting, gin tasting etc at this village. Great place overall. After hopping on the bus we ventured on to our last stop which is Makana Confectionery for a quick sample of great chocolate. Great tour. Great day. Cool driver. 100% would do the tour again.

Awesome Experience - Awesome service with excellent customer service. We had a very knowledgeable, friendly, fun driver Pete, who kept us entertained along the way, as we hopped off and back on again. We were very well looked after :) We were even personally dropped back to the front door of our hotel!

Need to do the tour again. - Decided to do a tour and grab a few drinks. Bus drivers were really nice. Office staff cheerful and helpful. Learned a lot about the region. Had some good laughs with my mates. Great wine, beer and gin places.

It was a good day. - I came to NZ on business. I have a little time.... If it's the South Island, I'll have wine!!! So I went on a wine tour. Fortunately, the weather was nice, and we enjoyed tasting wine while enjoying the scenery and a little bit of local beer....In the end, we enjoyed it with a local gin. Some wineries require advance booking, so you should consult the tour office. It's wine, but there are elements that you can enjoy plenty besides wine! There is also a museum where you can learn about Marlboro's history from the beginning, and a museum of cars and airplanes. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the shop, but if you like sweets, there are chocolate shops on the tour. For now, one day is not enough, so if I had the chance again, I would love to go to places I didn't go this time! The staff and driver were also nice. Thank you again.

Had a great day chilling with some nice folks. - I had an amazing time on the hop-on hop-off wine tour in Marlborough! Although this tour was a wine tour I particularly enjoyed the stop at Brayshaw Heritage Park. I saw how much effort is being dedicated to preserve the Marlborough region. Winery wise....I really liked Spy Valley Wines. Their Pinot Noir was fantastic. The convenience of hopping on and off as I pleased made the day stress-free, and I appreciated being able to linger at my favourite spots. The driver was also really helpful with recommendations. A great way to explore and enjoy the beauty (and delicious wine!) of Marlborough Oh yeah. Do not miss out on Vines village!!!!!

A good trip that benefits from sone pre planning and booking. - A good experience that would have been improved if we had been sent information and timetable a week earlier, with guidance to book in at each venue in advance. A number of the venues were not able to cope well with drop in visitors.

Don t waste yr money if cruiseships are in town - Don t waste yr money on a day when cruise ships are in town.the cruise ships and local wine tours book out the wineries. We got on hop on hop off at 10.30 . Once we were on they told u need to book wineries in advance for tastings. If you don t have a local sim you are already stuck. We decided on Hunters winery as bus driver said there was good chance it be quiet. We could not get tastings as their venue was booked out with 1big bus per hour.waited half hour for next bus.did not get off until we found a town pub with TAB to make sure it would not be crowded to have lunch within our half hour. Friends went same day and asked if wine museum open ? Driver assured them it would be . They spent their precious half hour in carpark waiting for another bus as it was closed. Many wineries could not accomodate ppl from hop on hop off.only reason we did not book wine tour was that we had to catch last shuttle to cruise ship at3pm . They could not guarantee we d be back and recommended hop on hop off. Worst value of tours on our whole trip.
