The wood oven is hot and waiting!
We will meet at a village close to the city of Rethymno - the village of Pigi. A beautiful spacious garden will be the scenery for our cooking class. As we get to know each other you will have the chance to visit our vegetable and herbs garden or enjoy the swimming pool (bring your swimming suit!).
Now it’s time for you to cook!
As soon as you feel ready for work our host will dress you with your apron and will guide you through each of the recipes that you are going to learn. Home-made cheese, ntakos, tzatziki, staffed vegetables, greek salad and much more all cooked to local level perfection by you.
Enjoy your creations
After preparing all the dishes, lunch follows; we will use a traditional wood-fired oven for cooking our dishes and we will taste everything we have prepared outdoors, in an idyllic setting with a glass of raki and local wine. Let’s savor the wonderful Cretan flavors of traditional cuisine!

A nice evening crete cooking class - It was such a nice experience, nice place, fun to cook Cretan specialitites and such nice persons involved in the cooking course.

Fun - This was a great experience for me, my wife, and our 18 year-old daughter. Beautiful location (once you get there). They taught us how to make some traditional foods while interacting with people from several different countries. It was educational, and a lot of fun.

Warm Hospitality and Traditional Cretan Cooking – A Must-Do! - Maria and Rebecca were absolutely wonderful hosts. It was a chilly, rainy day, and they thoughtfully messaged us in advance to remind us that the class would be held outside (though under a covered pavilion), and to dress warmly. My 12-year-old daughter only had a sweatshirt with her, and Rebecca immediately went into the house and returned with an extra jacket for her—such a kind and thoughtful gesture.
Maria guided us step by step through preparing a delicious traditional Cretan meal. She not only explained how to make each dish, but also shared the history and cultural significance of the ingredients we used, which made the experience even more meaningful.
Although the class can accommodate up to eight guests, it was just the four of us that day, which made it feel like a private and personalized experience. We left with full hearts, full bellies—and so many leftovers!
This was a highlight of our time on Crete and a perfect experience for food lovers, families, and anyone interested in authentic cultural experiences.

Lovely Cooking Class! - We attended the cooking class as a large group and everyone absolutely LOVED it! The food was delicious and the chefs were so knowledgeable and kind. It was a wonderful experience and we learned so much about Greek cuisine. Thank you!

Prepare for left overs - Maria picked us up from our hotel and drove us to Rebecca.
Very accommodating towards allergies (i noted them in the reservation).
We were only me and my husband and another couple, but I think they bought the ingedients for a possible full class, so we had lots of leftovers and were given a doggie bag, which for people sleeping in a hotel and always eating out is a bit tricky to eat those leftovers.
But alas, very nice people, nice house, really good food, wine and raki.

Wonderful cooking experience - Me and my family (6 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful time at a beautiful garden to have Greek cooking lessons with the hosts Vincent and Rebecca. In the evening Vincent picked us up at our apartment and brought us back safely. For several courses we got the ingredients and with the help of Vincent and Rebecca we made and ate a delicious dinner, together with Raki and wine. Vincent gave us also tips for the rest of our stay at Crete. We booked it through Eco Events and I want to thank especially Amelie who arranged this lovely experience for us.

Great cooking experience with delicious dishes from lovely ladies! - What a great course this was! The chefs and hostesses were extremely sweet and welcoming. The house where we were allowed to cook had a beautiful garden with swimming pool. We got homemade wine and olive oil, both of which were delicious. All dishes were delicious, and really typical Greek. Afterwards we were allowed to take the remaining food. In short: book this course immediately!

A real joy and utterly delicious - Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Vincent was an excellent guide/ translator and the warm hearted host Reveka a natural cook.
We felt lucky to be part of the experience and the memories will remain a highlight of the trip.
FYI We were a family group of 3 generations. Communication with Amelie at EcoEvents was faultless and Vincent collected us from our hotel and nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge of Cretan culture is extensive and I would definitely book with the Company again.

Fun, informative and delicious - Definitely a highlight of our trip. Vincent was very knowledgeable about the local area and was very entertaining. Rebecca was also wonderful and it was super awesome to get to have some of her homemade raki and baked goods during the class. The food was excellent and it was a very fun time. Highly recommend!

A wonderful evening - A wonderful evening that will be remembered. Michael was an excellent guide, translator and sous-chef. Reveka showed us how to cook delicious Cretan style food. The small group size of six made it seem like we were at home.
