A visit to Porto is essential when traveling to Portugal, and exploring the Douro Valley, a World Heritage site, is a must when in Porto. The day begins early with a pickup by the driver to embark on a journey to Northern Portugal. Along the way, travelers will pass through the valleys of the Bussaco National Park and the Mondego River, marveling at the stunning hills that seem to touch the sky, before ascending to the Douro Valley at an altitude of around 1000 meters. After taking in the breathtaking views of the Douro Valley, there is a stop at one of the region’s oldest wine producers for a Port Wine Tasting, accompanied by Regional Cheese, all while enjoying the scenic view of the Douro Valley. Following this, the journey continues to Porto, where there are approximately 4 hours to explore the city before returning to Lisbon. The highlight of this tour is the Douro Valley. While exploring Porto, the driver will not accompany the group. If a guide is desired for exploring Porto Downtown, please request this when booking the tour.
