Best wine tour we have ever been on! - There were so many options when deciding between wine tours in the Duoro valley but when I noticed this tour had a perfect 5 star rating my sister and I were sold. They absolutely go above and beyond to deserve this rating! Jean was an incredible guide - knowledgeable, personable, organized, punctual and kind. The tour itself is well paced with an approx 1 hour drive from Porto to the Duoro valley region (in a thankfully air conditioned van - crucial detail!) and a stop for coffee and pastries before a quick drive to the boat dock. The boat cruise was a lovely and quiet way to enjoy the views of the valley (note this part is not guided but we did not feel it needed to be and was a great way to ease into the early morning). We then took a 20-30 min drive to the first vineyard. We learned about and then tasted a variety of delicious port ones at this vineyard. We then drove to a phenomenal look out spot where we had a chance to enjoy the view and majesty of the valley. We then drove to the lovely town of Sabrosa where we had a fabulous 3 course meal with delicious authentic Portuguese food, unlimited wine, dessert and a short tour of the vineyard. We ended the day with the drive back to Porto with most of us napping comfortably full of wine and delicious food. Book this tour now!!

Eyes opening tour for wine lovers. - Everything is good. Very amazing port wine. The lunch is abundant and delicious, paring high quality wine. The view is also amazing. Fresh air with greens all around in the valley. Our tour guide Jean is very passionate about introducing wine culture, food culture and everything about Porto to tourists. I also visited a place he recommended after back to Porto. And it turned out one of the best places in Porto.

Douro Valley Wine tour - The trip was a small intimate group which made everything much better, Samuel was an amazing tour guide who offered lots of knowledge around the Douro Valley region and was a very fun person to be around. We had several tasting opportunities at a winery, on the boat, and then at lunch (which was amazing). This tour is very unique because we had a chance to try a vintage wine which most tours do not offer. Highly recommend! We are a couple in our late twenties from New York City, who travel the world and have done lots of these tours!

He brought us to the most stunning viewpoints, curated some amazing wine tastings, and even arranged an unforgettable lunch. Truly a highlight of our trip! Couldn’t recommend more!

Great sightseeing, very good wine and food, fun and entertaining guide. un and entertaining guide - The sights and pictures that you get from this trip are great. We passed through Regua, Pinhao and all around the twisty roads of the area. The boat ride was entertaining, we shared the boat with other groups, but it was maximum 16 people, so it didn't feel crowded and we all got a nice view. The boat guide was entertaining and informative. As for the wine perspective, which was my main interest, we tasted in total 8 different wines: Fonseca's:dry white port, ruby and a tawny port. Then on the boat, we tried a super small production tawny port which was interesting. Later on at the lunch we got to drink a red and a white Duoro DOC table wines with our lunch, several servings of, made at the small-medium sized winery. They also provide a tasting of their ruby port and their 2019 vintage port which was pretty good. The lunch pretty tasty, and while it's nothing that will blow your mind, it's good and pairs well with the wines. The first winery, or Quinta, was a bit underwhelming. It was in the tasting terrace and we got maybe a 30 second explanation on what we were being served by the Quinta staff (30 sec in total for the 3 ports). At the second winery it was better, we got to go to the production area and we got a good explanation by the guide. I general I the trip was a good experience and the wines were fine wines, no complaint about that. Samuel was my group guide and I found him very fun, engaging and helpful. My group was a fun one too. Overall 5 stars and I would recommend it. If you're looking specifically to learn about the appellation, there might be a tour better suited for that, but I don't want to detract from the effort and quality of the tour made for general public. Cheers!

Amazing Tour - Our Douro Valley wine tour was truly unforgettable! From start to finish, our guide Samuel was incredible—warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the region and its wines. One of the highlights was the authentic Portuguese lunch; not only was the food amazing, but being invited into the kitchen to see how it was prepared made the experience even more special. The wine tastings were both delicious and educational, with each stop offering something unique. A perfect blend of culture, flavour, and hospitality—highly recommended!
