The journey continues to Piazza del Duomo, home to some of the city’s most significant buildings. The ancient bell tower dominates the square. Moving forward, visitors will see the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Corte and the Cathedral of San Zeno. Inside the Cathedral lies the Treasure of San Jacopo, featuring its renowned Silver Altar.
In Piazza del Duomo, three notable buildings stand: Palazzo Vescovile (the bishops’ residence until 1700), Palazzo Pretorio (now housing the court), and Palazzo Comunale.
The tour concludes with a visit to the renowned Pieve di Sant ‘Andrea.
