Walking the Burgh is a cool thing to do even on a hot day! - My husband and I enjoyed a walking tour of downtown Pittsburgh. Our guide, KEN, was outstanding. As we walked the different areas, he gave us a great overview of the history of the city and its current status as a thriving U.S. metropolis. Each building, each plaque we passed had its own story. It was an impossibly hot day but Ken thoughtfully kept us in the shade as much as possible and in air-conditioned lobbies of some of the office buildings and hotels we visited. He had so much information to share that he even extended the time of the tour by 1/2 hour. As we explored Pittsurgh (and Falling Water) on our own, we remembered Ken's stories and were able to appreciate the city even more. I definitely recommend WALKING THE BURGH but try to do it on a cooler day.

The very best. - Ken was a great tour guide. We have done walking tours all over the world and this was the best. Not only was Ken personable and considerate (helped us dodge rain showers by taking us through lobbies filled with beauty and history and a church with 10+ Tiffany windows), he knew so much about his city and its history. We didn't want it to end.

An excellent experience - The Burgh walking tour was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Pittsburgh. Alan was an excellent tour guide and a great storyteller. He made the history of the city come alive. My 21 year old granddaughter was skeptical that Pittsburgh had enough to offer to need a tour. She admitted she was very wrong! I highly recommend this tour as one of your first stops in Pittsburgh.

Bringing history to life - Really enjoyed my tour with Alan Irvine. It was a great way to connect with other folks as a solo traveler while gaining a better understanding of Pittsburgh itself. Alan brought a real depth of knowledge that he shared with the group in an entertaining way. He answered every question with ease. For those who enjoy learning about history, I would recommend this tour!

Take This Tour - When visiting a city for the first time, a good walking tour is a must. This tour met and exceeded that need for my first visit to Pittsburgh. Kane did an amazing job explaining the history of each stop and telling the stories behind them. His knowledge of Pittsburgh brought the city to life in a way I wouldn't have experienced had I opted to wander solo.
