Akumal and cenote - We had a very fun tour with Juan! He explained everything perfectly and was very friendly. The cenote was an unforgettable experience. The turtle bay let us down, we were not allowed to advance to the coral because the rest of our group could not advance and it was only 45 minutes. Besides there were many more groups in the water and this lost the charm of the place.

Perfect half-day excursion - This excursion was so much fun, we saw so many turtles, stingrays, and countless fish at a beautiful beach. Rather than spending the extra hours at the beach our guide offered to take us to a nearby cenote which was well worth the additional cost!

Relaxing and serene - Fede and Otto took good care of us getting us to the beach, and talking us through everything. They were very hospitable and gave free snacks and water. On the actual tour in the sea otto accompanied us along with the beach tour guides and was helping anyone that needed it with their snorkels, or those struggling to swim. We were able to get within inches of large and baby turtles alike and even got to see some stingrays. 10/10 would definitely recdomend to anyone.

Don’t buy from beach vendors - Don’t buy from beach vendors. Buy from online or at hotel. Cost $100 more from beach vendor. I learned the hard way. The tour was good.Turtle Bay in Tulum was good but over booked. Lots of people but well organized. Ivan our tour guide was very informative and accommodating. The cenote portion of the excursion was best. Got picked up at Paladium at 9 am and we were back by 2pm.

Snorkel with turtles Akumel - The pickup was on time, the guide (Jar) was wonderful, very passionate and knowledgeable. We saw many turtles. Our introductions were very good. Don't touch the bottom, it sturs up sand reducing visibility, lay on top of the water, no kicking, keep your distance from the turtles.. However we were sharing the same area with many different companies that did not follow the rules. It was loud and chaotic. I wish only a few tours were aloud out at a time, given the same instructions. The visibility would have been so much better and the experience would have been better as well. The chances of being kicked or swam over would have been greatly reduced. Those people were all from different tours. T he snorkel experience was about 30 mins and wonderful! We did the cenotes tour emediatly afterwards, we did not stay for beach time. Over it was an amazing experience and a highlight of my trip. I would do this tour again.

Honest Review: Akumal Murky water - The trip was much linger than 4 hours. It ended up being about 7 hours including transportation. The beach was packed. We saw maybe 7 turtles and 1 stingray. The water was a bit murky. The guide went over instructions, including no sunscreen. They said snacks and water provided. I received no snacks but there was water. I had the option of free time at Akumal after the snorkeling. I had 2 hours to lounge and enjoy the beach. I was told I’d be picked up at 12:45 that turned into 1:30 a bit frustrating when traveling alone worried that you’ve been left behind. Mr. Charlie the driver was lovely, kind and informative. The tour was okay. I expected a bit more for $80USD.
