Unique experience - Because of the bad reviews elsewhere I got a little scared. On February 12, we took my mom and I on the Chichen Itza tour with Valladolid and a cenote. The transfers are terribly exhausting and heavy indeed, but we know that it is not their thing but mostly external planning and infrastructure. Gaby and Issandro, the guides, along with driver Arturo made our tour unforgettable, we are both more introverted and except for what happens sometimes, we do not feel ignored at all, which we will thank you always

Recommended!! - This all day tour was as expected and advertised. We had a pick up from Hotel then transported to a Tour Bus. First visited Cenote Hubiku then Chichen Itza and finally town of Valladolid. The Tour guide and staff were very helpful, spoke good English and were informative. Good value for the money and timely. Finally dropped off at the hotel 9pm local time.

Worth the experience!! - The tour and the operator were amazing, comfortable bus, clear explanations, the tour super worth it. Consider the tour time. Leaving Cancun at 7 a.m., I arrived at 11 a.m. It was too tiring.

Chichen Itza Discovery Day - The visit itself is very friendly, we are introduced to a very beautiful site, the guide in French very appreciable. On the other hand the bus with the tours of the hotels, we were picked up first, we were dropped off last and it's been a very, very long day. In addition the last visit to Valladolid we flew over because late and the bus did not find to stop

Too elongated - Guides and chauffeurs did it very well except that the English translation was difficult to understand and was mixed with Spanish presentation, which meant that we missed more information including that 1.100 Pesos had to be paid for Maya name certificate and calendar. The worst was the time frame of the trip which ended up lasting for us 15 hours - from 7.05 a.m. to 22.02. Exactly so it happened that we did not get proper breakfast or dinner at the hotel. The scope of the tour should be reduced, as we drove by bus for 10 of the 15 hours, and the first 4 hours went with pickup and drive to the first excursion site Hubiku Cenote.

Irresponsible company - I paid for the Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid tour for me and my 3 companions. They told me the pick up time was 7:20 am and to be there 10 minutes before. I arrived at exactly 7:10 am and they already left. I called the contact who contacted me from Cancun Sightseeing, never responded, never called me back. I called Expedia who I booked the tour from and they contacted them, but they did not want to refund my money. Bassictly they stoled it. NEVER trust this company. Very irresponsible.

Great sights, awful tour - This regards the Cancun-sightseeing Chichen-Itza tour, which we booked through Expedia … Firstly, the staff on the bus were not “tour guides”, so much as sales people for various souvenir vendors, visits to which formed a large part of the tour. Ultimately the main and side attractions did not disappoint. Chichen Itza is fabulous, and swimming in the cenote (underground sink hole) was a unique and memorable experience. But the commercial tourist crap in between put a damper on the whole thing. Yes, tour guides the world over take their customers to businesses from which they get some kind of kick-back, and poor countries need the revenue, but this was way overboard. It started on the bus, when the staff tried to sell us on some cheesy replica of a Mayan calendar at our first stop and did a sales job for the tequila vendor at the same place. It continued when we got there, with the guide/huckster giving long spiels on other souvenir trinkets we should buy, then leading us to the previously touted tequila shop. The cenote that all this retailing was attached to was almost an after-thought (for the sales-minded guides). These characters also provided the so-called “guided tour” when we finally got to Chichen Itza, telling us virtually nothing about the history, construction or life of the place, while offering up a few fun facts. The tour culminated at - where else - a souvenir stand. The tour ended with a totally unnecessary stop. Vallalodid is a not unpleasant but wholly unremarkable so-called “colonial town.” The main reason for going there was to visit a jewellery and - wait for it - tequila store the tour companies have some deal with, and that was filled with a stunning number of annoying salesmen. Going there made an already long day even longer - 13.5 hours in our case - that meant we missed our dinner reservation. My recommendation? If you can possibly afford it, hire someone independent to provide a private tour where you set the itinerary. Meanwhile, shame on Expedia for partnering with these guys.

A day from hell - A day of hell I don’t anyone to have to endure. Booked months ago and contacted within 48hrs to confirm pick up point and time. They moved the time from 7:00am to 6:45am but to be there 10 mins early. No problem. So we get there at 6:30 where 30 people are waiting. Get on he bus but we are the only 2 who get on the bus. Wait until 7:15 to leave. Apparently waiting on no shows. We then stop at 14 different hotels to pick up passengers which takes 2 hours!! Yes 2 hours! If I had been told this, I would have ubered to the last pick up and not had to get up at 5:30 to get there. Finally hit the road at 9:05. The bus seats are plush and comfortable but the alley way very, very narrow. Ishmael (guide) then proceeds to try and sell bugs spray, sunscreen and Mayan calendars to us. Arrive at Cenote at 10:22. Told we are spending 2 hours there - lunch and swim. Have to walk through massive shop being hassled to buy. Swim was glorious, setting stunning but lunch pretty poor. Leave at 12:45pm. Drive to Chichen Itza and arrive at 2:15. It’s crowded and hot. Enter at about 2:45. Finally 8 hours after the start! Tour for about an hour then free time. The site is stunning (vendors everywhere trying to sell their wares). I understand the need for the Mexican people to make a living but it’s intense. Leave at 4:30pm and onto Valladoid (town) and arrive at 5:25 and leave at 6pm. More shops. I’m exhausted and very annoyed by now so I discuss with guide and ask which is the first drop off as I am not going to endure another 2 hours of drop offs. He tells me ours is the last drop off. I explain that this is absolutely unacceptable and I will be taking an uber from first drop off. He calls management. At first drop off he has arranged for another bus to drop us off so we get on a mini van who drops us off second. Back at hotel at 9:45pm. 15 hours from beginning. The website says 12 hours but in reality it would have been 16-17 if we had stayed on the original bus. Hint to organisers: visit Chichen Itza first. This is the main reason as to why people are on the tour. The other places are just bonuses. Organise 3 pick up and drop offs points only. Don’t try and sell things on the bus. Be clear on the website the amount of time in each place and order. Be clear that cigarettes will be removed from your bag at entry to site. Acknowledgments: I understand Chichen Itza is 2-2.5hrs away from Cancun. Ishmael was a good guide - funny and responsive to my issues with the tour. Good driver for a long day. Seeing Chichen Itza was to be an important part of our journey through Mexico. This day really soured our experience of what should have been an incredible experience. Cost $137 AU$ for 2 people plus $40 US$ each person for entry to site. So $270 for the day. Hire of locker and life jacket small fee $10 -1 person.

I hated the service - They charge a lot of money for no reason and they are very uncomfortable imagine charging you administration fees after booking online what kind of scam is that
