Very different - Ek Balam was not a Mayan temple but a Mayan university where the young elite of the nobility was educated. Therefore, there is no pyramid but a large amount of large buildings that served as school rooms. Great and you can climb many. The cenote is wonderfully deep and impressive

Interesting and beautiful - Me and my friend did this tour and we loved it. JesĂșs Cuevas and Ricardo showed us the advanced knowledge the mayas have and gave us insights into various aspects including archeological facts. They where the best team when compared to other tour guides we had in various Mexico locations. It's 100% worth your time. In addition to that, this team knows how to put everyone at ease. They really give more information than you'd expect! After this tour I was really interested in learning more about Mayas.

Amazing Experience with Jesus and Ricardo - I just finished the tour with our tour guide JesĂșs Cuevas and driver Ricardo and rate it a 5 star experience! The 2 hour drive to Ek Balam was never boring. Historical information regarding mayan traditions and culture were given, hands on interaction with artifacts such as mayan paper, birth certificates, and stones were provided. Once we arrived to Ek Balam we were given a walk through to many of the historical ruins. Jesus was very attentive to the group, and made the whole experience amazing. Would highly recommend him, due to his personal mayan heritage he is knowledgeable about many mayan traditions and can even speak the mayan language. Moving from Ek Balam to the Cenote and finally to Valladolid was easy, Ricardo and Jesus had cool refreshments ready for us and made sure everyone was transported quickly and comfortably. I was traveling with my mother and sister and we all loved the trip, highly recommend!
