Great tour and tour guide - If you are vegan or vegetarian, this tour is a must. The best vegan food in Playa del Carmen with the best tour guide, Enrique. He was so informative, he explained the different Mexican fruits at a local fruit and veggie stand, then we had mole(yum) then on to a small taco place, a street vendor and desert. A full 3 hours to fill our stomachs. We waddled back.

Great vegetarian tour with Enrique! - I went on the vegan tour of Playa del Carmen yesterday with Enrique, what a nice way to spend the afternoon! I am vegetarian so he adjusted the plan a bit for that, which was appreciated.
We visited a market and some nice little restaurants that I wouldn't have found on my own. The food was fantastic, I learned a lot about Mexican cuisine, and Enrique was really enthusiastic and fun. I give this tour five stars, highly recommended!
Tip: Take this tour at the start of your trip because you will definitely want to return to these places for more great food.

Awesome Tour - Great food tour! Felt like I was on Parts Unknown. Loved learning more about Mexican food and trying some amazing dishes! Enrique was a great guide and knew all the best spots for vegan cuisine. The mole and elote tamale were to die for!

Delicious Food Tour with Abbey in Playa del Carmen - Abbey was amazing! We had such a great time on the tour and got to try many new Mexican dishes we had never heard of before. She was incredibly kind and patient, carefully accommodating all our dietary restrictions. Abbey also shared fascinating insights about typical Mexican dishes specific to the region, making the experience both delicious and educational.
During the food tour, she gave us a brief but delightful glimpse of Playa del Carmen, which added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The selection of restaurants was excellent, and we never felt unsafe or encountered any hygiene concerns along the way.
I highly recommend this food tour, even if you're not vegan. It's a fantastic way to discover hidden gems and popular dishes that may not be widely known.

Must to experience in Playa Del Carmen - This experience is a must do in Playa Del Carmen. Enrique was also the greatest host and was so kind and knowledgeable about all thing vegan, local fauna and Playa Del Carmen. I suggest you do this at the beginning of your trip so that you can revisit all the local hidden gems during your trip. Enrique took us to places I would never in a million years thought would have a vegan option, and everything was so authentic and incredible!
100/100, would do again in a heart beat!!

Guide was great, food was just okay - I gave this experience 4 stars - 5 stars for our guide Emanuel who was wonderful, patient, enthusiastic and just exceptionally friendly, but 3 stars for the food. We visited 3 restaurants, a fruit stand and a frozen fruit/dessert kiosk. Of the three restaurants we visited, we all thought only 1 was worthwhile. It was called Plantivoros and the vegan tacos were stellar. It's not near 5th Avenue or any tourist area, so you'd have to go out of your way to find it, but it might be worthwhile to do so. The fruit stand was just a fruit stand, though there were a few fruits we'd never encountered before (but they didn't taste so great). We learned a little bit about Mexican cuisine, but not enough to justify the price (there were 8 of us, so it added up!) If you do go, leave plenty of time for traffic and parking - there's no parking near the meeting spot and we ended up parking on a side street that was a 7 minute walk to the meeting spot.
