Silent Paths, Clear Sunrises, and a Remarkable Guide - I booked the Ghandruk 3‑day loop on a whim, and it turned into one of the most peaceful and rewarding treks I’ve ever done — thanks mostly to my guide, Milan. From the first steps he understood exactly how I wanted to walk: mostly in silence, with space to absorb the forests and villages at my own pace. Every so often he’d quietly point out a plant, or a view, or an animal along the trail, adding meaning without breaking the calm. He set a perfect pace too — steady enough to feel like I was working, but never pushing me into fatigue. He kept track of distances, reminded me to take water, and made sure I didn’t miss sunrise windows or special viewpoints. The trek itself is ideal for intermediate fitness and last‑minute plans. I was lucky with the weather: cool, cloudy walking days, rain in the evenings, and crystal‑clear mornings. The sunrise in Ghandruk was unforgettable — we’d arrived in thick cloud and rain, so waking up to suddenly revealed mountains felt like a gift. Deurali was another highlight, as was the quiet forest descent through Dhampus. Very few people were on the first half of the trail, and the stillness made everything feel more intimate. I was grateful for the all‑inclusive package; I never had to think about meals or cash. I’d simply pack a little differently next time with a bit more detail about what the package includes. Overall, the trek left me wanting more — and I’d gladly walk with Milan again. His humility, attentiveness, and gentle way of guiding made the journey feel effortless and deeply memorable.
