- Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - The next destination is the incredible Mae Klong Railway Market, locally known as Talat Rom Hoop (‘Market Umbrella Close’). Imagine a train passing directly through a bustling market!
The Mae Klong Railway Market has existed since 1905. Fishing has been, and continues to be, a primary livelihood for the local residents, and the market served as a venue for selling their goods. Visitors will stroll through the market, with the hope of witnessing a train’s arrival or departure, before returning to Bangkok.

Wat Bang Kung - Wat Bang Kung is renowned for its small chapel, which is entirely enveloped by the roots of a banyan tree, known as Bot Prok Po. It appears as though the tree itself forms the temple’s pillars, and without the roots, the chapel might collapse. Visitors can also enter to pay respects to the Buddha image.
The temple grounds once served as a naval fort, the site of a significant 18th-century battle between Siam and Burmese invaders. Today, the temple grounds also serve as a memorial to the heroism of warriors.
