Amazing, personalize experience - Claudia was a wonderful guide for our 3-hour family tour! What an amazing experience for our family, and Claudia did a lovely job explaining details we wouldn’t have seen had we done this on our own! Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for something more personal than a big group tour. For us, we especially didn’t want to be stuck on a tour bus going to a bunch of other places after Pompeii. It was incredibly easy to take the very comfortable high speed train from Rome to Naples and then the local train to Pompeii (be aware that the local train portion is VERY CROWDED!). I’m so glad we chose to do it this way - not only did we control our day but we had a personalized tour and wonderful host there! You won’t regret it!

Marvellous private tour with Alona! - Such a wonderful way to experience Pompeii- Alona was extremely knowledgable and kept the kids (and adults) engaged and entertained. She knew the best spots to experience the highlights of the site and was so much more personal and interesting than an audio guide!

An amazing experience with Daniela. The entire family and our friends loved her. - Daniela was an amazing guide and kept our kids interested at all time. She asked questions to the kids, encouraged them to ask her questions and we as adults learned so much.

10/10 Tour to Pompeii - Alona was an absolutely wonderful guide! She kept the tour kid-friendly and engaging for our children, and it was also extremely informative for adults. We’d recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personalized tour of Pompeii that’s great for the whole family!

Wonderful Tour of Pompeii with an Expert Guide - My family (my wife, me, our 13 year old son, and 11 year old daughter) had a wonderful time touring Pompeii with our fantastic guide Alona. It was the kids’ first time visiting the site, but because my wife and I had both been previously, Alona prioritized visiting the portions of the City that were most recently excavated. Alona made the tour fun and engaging for all of us. When our 11 year old started to drag a little towards the end of the tour, Alona kept her engaged and entertained. Our daughter says “It was nice. I learned a lot that I didn’t know before. I saw nice paintings and got to touch buildings that are thousands of years old. Alona was very good and nice.” Our son says “Alona was very knowledgeable and good at her job. A very fun and active day. I learned a lot and got to see a lot of interesting things.” My wife and I were really impressed by Alona’s knowledge and expertise. She had detailed information on seemingly every structure in the City. We highly recommend this tour.

A venerable experience - She did an awesome job going is a the tour and showing us parts we didn’t see when we were there 5 years ago. Any question wasn’t just answered, it was explained which showed hownonoweesgable she was. Kids are all under 14 and they enjoyed it and they were the reason I went there. I hoped they didn’t get bored and she made it so they didn’t!

Exceptional Kid-Friendly Tour – Alona is a Gem! - If you are debating visiting Pompeii, do not listen to the skeptics—it is an absolute must-see. The history is both tragic and fascinating, and seeing the symmetrical architecture and ingenuity of an ancient civilization pre-industrialization is truly mind-blowing.
We booked a 2-hour kid-oriented tour with Alona, and she was fantastic from start to finish. Her communication was excellent; she confirmed everything the night before and even double-checked that we had our entry tickets (which are not included). Because of her reminder, I was able to snag them on our way from Naples, saving us a lot of hassle. She was also perfectly punctual, waiting for us right at the designated meeting point.
What really stood out was Alona’s patience and heart. We toured on a Sunday, and I was so touched that she spent time away from her own two young children to guide us. My 12-year-old son was struggling with heavy jetlag and was pretty disengaged, but Alona never gave up. She was incredibly patient and made every effort to connect with him and keep him involved in the history.
To top off the experience, she went above and beyond after the tour ended. We had time to kill before our private transport back to Naples, so she introduced us to the owner of a restaurant right outside the entrance. Thanks to her recommendation, the staff took wonderful care of us.
Alona made our trip to Pompeii a truly worthwhile experience. If you are traveling with children, I cannot recommend her highly enough!
