Would highly recommend for the day, especially if coming off a cruise. - Titti and Bruno were excellent guides all day, very interesting tour. Lunch included plenty of food and very well organised. Would highly recommend.

Amazing day! - Pierfrancesco and Giuseppe were our tour guide and driver. Pierfrancesco was knowledgeable of the area and Giuseppe was an amazing driver on the narrow winding roads. Both were very friendly, prompt and informative about what the day would bring. Had a wonderful time with them. Would hopefully meet again.

Good experience... - Good overall experience. I wish they had the tickets for the site earlier. We had to stand in the line for a long time. But the food was good and the operator dropped us at our hotel.

Memorable trip - Absolutely amazing day with Raffaella and the tour guide and driver- Pompeii was amazing and the guide was so knowledgeable. Raffaella looked after us so well- she was so friendly that we booked another trip during this one to herculaenium which she organised for us. Would definately recommend for everyone such a lovely day out. Many thanks to the driver too.

When in Naples... - Flora and Gennaro 5 were excellent, punctual and provided great company for tour. Anna was a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and hilarious guide for Pompeii. The food was excellent with a brilliant view. The overall hike to Vesuvius was worry free would recommend!

Great day at Pompeii & Vesuvius - Had a great day trip. Our guides Maria and Antonio were excellent as was our driver Mario C. A nice lunch was provided and it was a lovely way to spend a day (8am pickup / back at hotel 430pm). Would recommend

Brilliant Tour of Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius - We had an absolutely fantastic experience on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our tour leader, Titti, was wonderfully warm and organized, and our bus driver, Bruno, was both professional and friendly, making the journey smooth and enjoyable.
The day began with an incredible 2.5-hour guided tour of Pompeii. Our archaeological guide was superb, providing fascinating insight into the daily lives of both the wealthy and the poorer citizens of the city. She brought the ruins to life with her knowledge and passion, and we never once felt rushed.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring a light starter made with fresh local ingredients, a tasty main course, and a traditional Neapolitan dessert that was the perfect finish.
We were then driven up Mount Vesuvius, where we hiked to the summit. The round trip, including the hike up, time spent at the summit, and the descent, took about 1.5 hours and was absolutely worth it for the breathtaking views from the top.
The entire experience felt well-paced and thoughtfully organized. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and truly lovely to deal with. A memorable day from start to finish!

Some hiccups but still worth it - Pros:
- this combined trip saved a ton of logistic issues if we had tried to do it ourselves
- The road to the Vesuvius is very steep with many sharp turns that I would not want to have tackled myself in a rental car
- Lunch was good and filling. There was a starter with three small items, small pasta and shared pizza served with a beverage
- Time to complete the hike to the far edge of the Vesuvius crater and get back to the bus was sufficient for us. Approximately two hours for the round trip was provided.
- Getting a tour bus to the starting point appeared to cut off several hundred meters of vertical climb vs the general parking lot.
Cons
- avoid the first Sunday of the month as tickets are free. We were told that increased how busy it was at Pompeii. We arrived to a mass of humanity trying all to get in. We stood in a queue for 1.5 hours in the sun just to get in. The line was still there when we exited the grounds
- The crowds in the park impacted the experience negatively as the guides were all trying to get their groups to similar things
- My headset to listen to the guide did not work. A second was provided and it too did not work. I had to try to stay as close to the guide as possible to hear her commentary.
- The number of casts we got to see were limited and time with them was also extremely limited. Mere minutes to see 3 bodies and a dog.
By the end of the day we had completed approximately 20,000 steps with 41 floors completely according to my iPhone.

Spectacular - Clemente and Francesco form a fun and attentive couple. The overall tour was great. Good lunch, the climb to Mount Vesuvius spectacular! I would only make one point: I miss free time in Pompeii. We went for 2h with a guide, we saw 2 streets. We were all left with a bitter aftertaste, with 1 or 2 hours more free time to walk through the archaeological park would have been a tour of 10.

Mostly great! Borderline “must” to experience. - Marco, our van transport spokesman, was kind and energetic. For the price, it was a bit frustrating that 3/4ths of the van did not understand what he was saying due (over the van’s speakers and in general) due his thick accent and the speed of which he spoke. I know this sounds like an outrageously aggressive nitpick, but again, we paid a lot for this attraction. It would’ve been nice if he was a bit more thoughtful in this regard as many of us missed most of the information he gave us to and from our pickup points (for us we were in the van for 50-60 total minutes). We were given 2 hours for the Vesuvius hike, 2 hours for the Pompeii tour, and 1-1.5 hours for lunch. Many of us felt like the lunch could’ve been shortened and extra time given to one or both of the actual experiences (the hike and tour of Pompeii). This is a 4, borderline 5 star, event. Hard to pass up the opportunity to see Pompeii and Vesuvius. It was nice to have a smaller group. Still I hold firm at 4 stars for the price.
