• Pompeii Archaeological Park - The Pompeii Tour starts daily at 10:30 am from the InStazione help desk. After signing in and providing your details, you’ll proceed to the Porta Anfiteatro entrance with the Guide. The tour includes visits to the Teatro Grande and the Odeon, the latter dating back to the Samnite city’s incorporation into the Roman colony. Next, we’ll head to via Stabiana, a well-preserved cobbled street with sidewalks and pedestrian paths, lined with shops and houses. The tour continues to the Casa del Menandro, a richly adorned Hellenistic domus, and then along the Via dell’Abbondanza. Here, we will visit one of the city’s oldest thermal buildings, with well-preserved male and female sections. The tour then moves to the brothel, where we can see famous erotic scenes on the walls, and finally to the Civil Forum, featuring the Temple of Jupiter, the Basilica, and the granaries displaying casts.

• Teatro Grande - The Teatro Grande is a Roman theater buried by the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD and uncovered during the archaeological excavations of ancient Pompeii. It hosted comedies, mimes, pantomimes, and atellane plays.

• House of Menander (Casa del Menandro) - The Casa del Menandro is a large urban domus in ancient Pompeii, covering nearly 1800 m². Excavated between 1926 and 1932, it exemplifies a wealthy family’s home in ancient Pompeii. It is named after the Greek poet Menander, whose image was found there, not after the house’s owner.

• Via dell’Abbondanza - Named after a bas-relief on a fountain near the Forum, this street is one of Pompeii’s most famous. It features a series of public buildings, shops, and residences, reflecting the city’s vibrant activity. Restored shop paintings include the thermopolium of Asellina, a well-known inn, and various artisan workshops.

• Stabian Baths (Terme Stabiane) - The Stabian Baths are a Roman bath complex buried by the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD and uncovered during the archaeological excavations of ancient Pompeii. It is the oldest building of its kind in the city.

• Lupanar - Throughout the Roman era, lupanari were establishments dedicated to mercenary sexual pleasure, essentially houses of tolerance. Some remain visible in the ruins of ancient Pompeii.

• Forum - Built around the 4th century BC during the Samnite era, the Forum of Pompeii was located near a major road junction with routes to Neapolis, Nola, and Stabiae. Initially a small open area surrounded by shops made of lava, tuff, and clay, it was completely rebuilt and expanded after the Roman conquest, especially in the 2nd century BC. The shops and a perimeter wall with the nearby Temple of Apollo were demolished, and political and religious buildings were constructed around the square.

• Tempio di Giove Capitolino - The Temple of Jupiter overlooked the forum, later becoming the Capitolium and dedicated to the three main deities of Rome: Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva. The temple’s basement housed sacred furnishings, votive gifts, and the public treasury known as the erarium.

• Basilica - This imposing public building from the 2nd century BC, known as the basilica, functioned as an indoor forum for activities typically held outdoors when weather conditions were unfavorable. One side featured the tribunal, where the judge presided from an elevated position. The judges’ area was accessible only via a movable wooden staircase to prevent attacks from the condemned.

• Temple of Apollo - The cult of Apollo reached Italic populations through Greek influence. Shortly before the 79 AD eruption, this cult had waned as the Temple of Jupiter’s importance grew. Today, a bronze statue of Apollo as an archer is visible, with a statue of the goddess Diana in front of it.

• Granai del Foro - Currently, the granaries area serves as a storage site for materials found during excavations. Historically, it was a market for cereals and legumes. The absence of plaster traces suggests the structure was unfinished at the time of the eruption. The ponderary table, crucial for ensuring fair trade and converting various measurement units to those used in Pompeii, is also significant.
