The journey begins at the original Roman gate: Porta Marina Superiore. After an introduction to the history of Pompeii and the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, your guide will lead you through the Roman Forum, where you will explore the delightful Forum Bath House, recently reopened after extensive maintenance! From there, you’ll proceed to the renowned and iconic “Regio V.”
The tour will continue to the House of the Silver Weddings, showcasing the home of a member of the Pompeian aristocracy.
From there, as you walk along Via Stabiana, you’ll view the facade of the House of “Caecilius Iucundus.”
The tour concludes at the hidden gem of this visit: the “Insula of Casti Amanti,” an active archaeological site with restorers working on-site.
