Pokhara to Ulleri 2,070m/6,791ft
Ulleri - The journey begins in Pokhara, with a drive to Nayapul via local bus, taking approximately 1 hour to reach the trek’s starting point. Upon arrival at Nayapul, the trek to Ulleri (2070m/6,791ft) commences. The sounds of the Modi River, the chirping of birds, and the stunning rhododendron forest enhance the hiking experience. An overnight stay at a lodge in Ulleri is planned, with an early start for the next day’s trek.
Ulleri to Ghorepani 2,675m/8,776ft
Ghorepani - The trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani begins early in the morning. The route passes through the renowned village of Banthali, home to the Magar community, offering breathtaking views of Annapurna South (7,219m/23,684ft), Himchuli (6,441m/21,132ft), and more. After crossing several streams and trekking through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests, Nangethanti is reached. From Nangethanti, the journey continues to Ghorepani. Ghorepani provides trekkers with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains like Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, and a glimpse into traditional Nepalese life. With ample time remaining in the day, a stroll around the village is possible, followed by an overnight stay.
Ghorepani to Ghandruk
Ghandruk - The trek begins before dawn, heading to Poon Hill base to witness the stunning sunrise. Upon reaching the top, the sunrise is awaited, offering a mesmerizing view of sun-kissed mountains such as Annapurna I, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri. After enjoying the sunrise, the trek returns to Ghorepani. Following breakfast, the descent towards Ghandruk begins, a charming Gurung village in the Kaski District renowned for its hospitality. An overnight stay in a teahouse in Ghandruk is planned.
Ghandruk to Pokhara
Pokhara - The descent from Ghandruk follows a scenic route, bidding farewell to the captivating mountains like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, and Himchuli. After traversing beautiful rhododendron forests, streams, and several suspension bridges, Birethanti is reached. From Birethanti, the trek continues downhill, following the Modi River to Nayapul. From Nayapul, a local bus is taken back to the beautiful city of Pokhara, marking the end of the tour.
