Our small unique operation in Port Douglas is the most personal day boat visiting the outer reef taking a maximum of just 12 passengers on board per trip, ensuring you’ll enjoy a very exclusive day. Our trip can take us to several outer reef locations where our very special Great Barrier Reef marine park permit allows us to roam the reefs freely and be away from other tourists and crowded reef locations. Because we have the ability to be able to roam all the reefs off Port Douglas it means we can frequently change our snorkel locations. Great Barrier Reef Guided Snorkelling - We just had a wonderful experience with ABC Snorkel Charters out of Port Douglas on the Outer Reef Guided Snorkeling. The crew of 3 were fabulous. Captain Jason took very good care of us and kept us safe. Will and Zoe (marine biologists) were very knowledgeable about all the wildlife we were seeing in the reef while guiding us around in the water. We were given lunch and wonderful snacks of pastries, oranges, and hot tea or coffee. The weather was not sunny but it was still an amazing experience. It is clear these 3 crew members love what they do. I would highly recommend this tour.

Special trip to the Reef with Friends - We chartered with ABC for a group of 6 friends celebrating my 60th birthday in Australia and New Zealand. What the crew couldn’t control was the very poor weather the entire region was having that day. Despite that, our group decided to take the trip and experience The Great Barrier Reef.
Simply put, the crew of ABC are absolutely wonderful. Will, Zoe, Esme and our Skipper Jason took such great care of us. If you have the means, I highly recommend a private charter because there was always one of the team in the water with you, answering questions and pointing out not-to-miss parts of the reef. They even played videographer for us with the GoPro we rented.
ABC is a family owned business, and from the moment I made the booking, I felt like I was part of their family. Their communications in advance were superb, and even the day before and morning of our trip, they were in constant contact because of the weather.
It was a day we will never forget!

Fantastic day on the reef - The ABC team were awesome! Will, Zoe and Jason treated us like family. Will took our group into the water and his knowledge and experience was great. He had to make a special trip back to the boat as my wife was nervous and he also took the camera for us and got some fantastic photos. Great time had by all!!

Definitely a must do if you’re planning on snorkeling at the reef! - It was an absolutely incredible experience the 3 marine biologists we had aboard were super knowledgeable and friendly and set just an amazing vibe for our trip

Fabulous day that had us feeling we had really experienced the GBR - Well, hardly any need to add to the exceptional ratings that this small company deserves! We were a group of 6, and had a total of 10 on our trip. I was particularly pleased they had a range of prescription goggles so I didn't have to wear contact lenses, the goggles they had did the job very well. The staff are fun and competent, shout out to Zoe, our group's guide. They equipped us well, and took us to an outer area of the reef, on our own, and Zoe pointed out a whole heap of things we would have missed on our own. And she trained us briefly so we felt unwarrantedly competent at identifying fish species! The lunch was simple but tasty, and all in all we had a fabulous day. Thank you.

Excellent, informative and engaging day on the reef. - We can only add to the exceptional review record for ABC Snorkel. The staff were charming, the information and supervision from the two guides, Zoe and Will was very good - and the marine biology information got us up to speed amazingly quickly. They found good spots and made the snorkeling really interesting by finding things of interest to point out and describe. Lunch was very simple but good and I was offered prescription goggles which I was particularly pleased about. A really enjoyable day. A Great Barrier Reef holiday would be incomplete without something like this.

Amazing experience. Even better than description. - The team was amazing and they made all of us very comfortable. There were nine of us on the boat: our family of three; a young couple and another family of four, and the staff made each group feel as if they were the only group.
