Thank you for giving us a great time! - We had Jorg, Jarred, and Mobi on our trip to Low Isles and the passion for the reef from the team is very evident.
Knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and a lot of fun.
Young kids from the age of 3 through to 10 all had a blast.
Thank you Jorg, Jarred, and Mobi - we really appreciate your efforts.

Indian family, non swimmers with a kid. Super awesome calypso team - Amazing experience. We were non swimmers with an 8 year old child, Indian family.
The staff was very helpful all throughout.
The noodles and lafe jackets were easy to use and kept us afloat.
We were very scared to snorkel (like panic atrack level scared!!!!) and Kate who was a marine biologist, made us feel extremely comfortable and helped us experience snorkeling. We were lucky to see, giant turtles up close, the reef and many beautiful 🐠🐋🐟.
Thanks Calypso team.
Tip: skip the breakfast of keep it super light.

Short and sweet - Our Calypso Low Isles snorkeling tour was a fantastic experience! The boat ride to the Low Isles was short and comfortable, and we were provided with all the necessary gear—snorkels, fins, wetsuits, and flotation devices—making it easy for everyone to enjoy the water.
Sarah was an outstanding deckhand—one of the best I’ve ever encountered! She was incredibly helpful and attentive, adding to the smooth and enjoyable experience. The guided snorkeling tour was informative and accessible, even for novice snorkelers. The beach tour was also a nice touch—short but educational, which makes sense given the island’s small size.
One thing to note: tea and coffee are served after snorkeling and once back on the boat before returning to port. Breakfast was simple but tasty—a muffin, crackers, and fruit. The only minor downside was that it wasn’t clear how much snorkeling time we’d have if we opted for the glass-bottom boat tour, so we stuck with snorkeling. Overall, a well-run and enjoyable trip—highly recommend!

Excellent snorkeling but weird incident - So we were booked on the morning cruise but they didn’t have enough people so we ended up on the afternoon cruise. The skipper was South African and the two young crew members were from the United States. There was a group of Russians (two couples), and Australian couple, a lone woman, and us. As we were boarding the boat, the lone woman simply collapsed and faceplanted, cutting her chin. She was not old and she did not trip. She just fell over. The crew helped her up and gave her a tissue, talked to her briefly, and we went ahead on the cruise. My husband and I were pretty shocked at how nonchalant the crew were. Perhaps the woman insisted on going anyway and they said ok. But we just felt it was handled in a very offhand way. Maybe because we’re from the USA where people tend to be so concerned about liability—I can’t say.
The crew instructed us on the snorkeling gear and gave us full stinger suits, complete with mitts. I had never snorkeled wearing those before but I guess there are box jellies that you just don’t want to encounter. We headed towards Little Isle and transferred to a glass bottom boat. The woman who fell stayed on the boat and the rest of us went ashore on the island, got our flippers and face masks on and swam out. The crew instructed us where to go and gave us yellow pool noodles so that we could be kept track of. We saw loads of beautiful colorful fish, blue clams, and at the end, black tip reef sharks. It was an absolutely lovely experience, spiritual even.
We went ashore and one of the young women took us on a walking tour of the island. That was interesting but sad—she showed us the boat house where Steve Irwin was taken after his stingray injury and where he died. That made a major impression I will never forget. We also learned about the lighthouse and the history of its keepers, some of which was rather sad as well. The crew woman showed us beautiful shells and told us about venomous cone snails, which was fascinating. She seemed to know her stuff really well. Then we got back on the glass bottom boat that took us to the calypso, had some tea and cookies and then went back to Port Douglas.
It was an unforgettable day and we loved it. I would have given 5 stars but for the incident with the woman passenger. Maybe it was all fine and no harm done, but it just made us uneasy and concerned for her.

Terrible tour group - We were in the terminal at 1 pm for a 1:15 tour. Went to change into our bathing suits and they left without us. Front desk operations was terrible. We use Viator
