Kangaroos Everywhere - Great place to get up close and personal with Kangaroos! Our stop here was last minute and I wish we would have stopped here on one of our first days in the area. The ticket allows you to return. I would highly recommend this venue both to adults traveling without kids and families. Feeding kangaroos here was the highlight of our Australia trip.

DO N OT MISS - Wildlife Habitat is an absolute Do Not Miss. There are Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabys, pythons and multiple birds of a huge number of varieties. Tour guides are knowledgeable and dedicated. This is a really extraordinary experience.

Great interactive wildlife experience - We were not sure what to expect but this was a brilliant experience with lots of interactivity. I particularly enjoyed the kangaroos and some of the birds but the whole place is impressive and the morning tea in the cafe with the birds accompanying us was great.

Loved this place. - So many animals and birds to see. Pictures with koalas, crocodiles are available to purchase. Some steps to climb to higher areas. Be sure to look high and low, listen for sounds to aid in finding birds. Many different areas to explore. This is self guided so take your time. Be sure to buy some kangaroo food, they are extremely gentle when eating.

Great little activity - We scheduled this on one of our more relaxed days. The canopies provided shade as we took in all the wildlife. Highlight was feeding the kangaroos and seeing joeys

Enjoy the animals - Our visit was pat of a Viator trip to Dantree Forest. This is a small place, very managable even with children. We enjoyed seeing the animals as some roamed around the space. Great for photos. Steve, our guide , met us at the agreed upon time to take us back to our apartment. You could do this yourself, but without a car this trip was perfect for us. Natural wonders and a history lesson made for a great day.

So good! Not a ‘zoo’!! Lovely animal enclosures. - We visited on our last day in lovely Port Douglas. So glad we did! We were wary as we’d been on a Blue Mountain tour in Sydney which included a ‘wildlife sanctuary’ that was frankly a zoo with shabby, cramped, dark enclosures with very sad looking animals. This place was the polar opposite I’m glad to say! Large, clean, modern, bright enclosures with healthy looking animals. We went to the Koala, Crocodile and Cassowary talks too. Two were delivered by the keeper named Paris. She was so good! Engaging, passionate about the animals and gave really interesting and lively talks. Fun and informative! We then roamed around the park. We took particular delight in feeding/ interacting with the Wallabies! So much fun! We spent a lot of time viewing the female Koalas too. They were so lively! Munching on Eucalyptus leaves. They looked so healthy and content. We had a really great time visiting this attraction. Really good spaces for the animals and passionate, caring, committed keepers! Loved this experience.

Local fauna up close! - A very enjoyable 90 minutes spent there on Boxing Day afternoon. Lucky that most folks had left by the time we arrived at 2:30pm. We loved seeing all the parrots, kingfishers and especially the 2 resident cassowarys. The kangaroos and wallabies were good to walk amongst as well, although there seemed to be many there for the size of the space. The 2 salt water crocs looked pretty content after a good feed. Our only recommendation to the business would be to stock more Australian made items in the gift shop, as most items were made in China. Recommended for a visit if you are in Port Douglas.

Get up close to many of the animals - A nice little zoo, with different habitats. The koalas sleep during the day - 3 breeding females were asleep in branches at the covered "outdoor" cafe, so we could see them scratch and stretch close up. The only wild koala is less co-operative with humans, and is the stud male. Hopefully, a baby koala will appear around Xmas, and the keepers will check regularly to help it survive. Kangaroos (with joeys) and wallabys wander freely and can be hand fed with pellets for purchase. Cassawaries strut their stuff - females dominate! - and tropical birds fly around in their areas. Some cheeky parrots and cockatiels will attempt to escort you through the doors - no no... Try to catch the keepers' lectures. Being hot, we didn't go to visit snakes or crocs... Great gift shop.
