Smaller group - Smaller boat not a schooner but got in close to lighthouses and covered more area than the larger boats very informative

Don’t miss out on this trip!!! - My fiance and I went with Captain Greg and Nick!! It was such a lovely experience. They were charismatic, incredibly knowledgable, and passionate. Highly recommend!!

The tour was wonderful!!... - The tour was wonderful!! So fun and informative. We really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of the tour and the guides were very eager to provide us with more information about the forts, lighthouses and even birds we saw on the tour. Amazing experience and we would highly recommend it to everyone, whether you’re from Portland or just in town for the day!

Beautiful way to get out on the water - The crew were great. Took time with each person who had questions to answer them completely. Was a beautiful day out on the water! It is an open air boat, so know that it could be very hot, very cool or very wet depending on the weather, so plan accordingly. We had an absolute perfect day for it. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant morning... - Very pleasant morning learning about the history of the islands and lighthouses. I was worried about being seasick but it was not an issue at all! My one suggestion is to sit near where the guide stands. He didn’t use a microphone (and the ship’s engine was running nearly the entire time) so where we were sitting along the back bench, we missed hearing some of the narrative.

A must do. - Captain Greg and tour guide Nick were great. They gave us a wonderful tour with lots of history and laughs. It was a beautiful and enjoyable morning out on the water.

Great fun day at sea - The tour was a unique experience for us, allowing us to discover the beauty of the Maine coast. Very entertaining, very safe and competently guided by our skipper, and with excellent commentary from Nick – an all-round successful trip. Highly recommended for all visitors to Portland.

You get to see... - You get to see lighthouses but the boat really did not close enough to get good photos. It was very hard to hear what the Captain was saying unless you were right next to him. Maybe the waters were more choppy than usual due to the time of year, but the tour just seemed rushed. I reached out to the tour director to inquire where to park the morning of the tour but never received a response back. Parking was not easy to find without paying a significant amount for parking so that cost needs to be factored in the tour if you are not staying close by.
