• International Rose Test Garden - A hallmark of the city, this stunning garden in Washington Park is Portland’s largest official rose garden, boasting over 10,000 roses and more than 650 varieties. • World Forestry Center - Discovery Museum - Discover forests worldwide through two floors of engaging, hands-on exhibits suitable for all ages. The Discovery Museum’s vibrant and informative displays cover topics like tree planting, wildlife, the benefits of wood, outdoor recreation, and forest careers. The first floor highlights the various roles forests play in our lives, while the second floor offers a global perspective on how people worldwide are connected to and reliant on their local forests. Visits to the World Forestry Center are available from mid-October to the end of April on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• OSA | Oregon Society of Artists - This hidden treasure fosters visual arts within the region’s diverse communities, offering educational opportunities for artists of all skill levels. Visitors can explore the OSA Gallery, which features monthly changing exhibits, learn about the OSA’s rich history since its inception in 1926, and view rarely seen artworks by master painters who are integral to Portland’s cultural heritage.
