A brilliant day despite bad weather forecast - We had already done a tour with Mauro some time ago and were more than thrilled at the time. On 04.02.26 we were back at the start, ready for a new adventure on the beautiful island of Madeira. The weather forecast in the WeatherApp did not look good at first: Rain was announced. Skepticism spread, a cancellation briefly considered. But Mauro did not let it deter him: “We find the sun.” Our tour started in Funchal. As soon as we had left the airport behind us, the paper showed: blue skies, bright sun... and all day long. In addition to his expert knowledge, Mauro also has a real sense of choosing places that opened up new perspectives even for us as returning explorers. He led us to viewpoints, narrow streets and hidden places that were off the beaten track. Every stop was carefully thought out, every look a little miracle. Madeira presented itself at its best: Sea air, salty winds, the gentle sound of the waves on secluded stretches of coastline, and meanwhile even warmth in the sunshine that felt like a personal gift. We experienced an island in all its facets, green cliffs, winding villages, and a hospitality that made every moment special. Towards evening we returned to Funchal. The forecast had announced rain again, but the day remained weatherproof until we were back in town. However, this did not stop our joy: We had experienced a TOP day, full of surprises, unplanned beauty and the feeling that Mauro had once again given us a distinctive angle on Madeira. Madeira Visit - Princess Cruises - I could not have met a more genuine and polite person - I was walking towards the cable car with my son and dad where I was about to spend €111 euros to go up to the botanical gardens and back. When I was approached by Mauro. Now we have all had the hard sell and immediately we just want to say No and move on. Well Mauro was the complete opposite - he approached, told me exactly what was on offer and how much he would charge. When I said I will have a think and chat with my family he did not persist and wished me a good day. So Mauro offered an island tour of Medeira where we would view 5 points of interest which included our planned botanical garden visit. The price was very fair and we felt it was value for money so we booked. We had an amazing day visiting Madeira and it was made so much more special by Mauro. His English is excellent, his approach to tourism is 100%. If you are ever in Madeira wether this be a day visit on a cruise ship or wether this be a holiday I highly recommend you get in touch with Mauro and take the tour. I will finish this review by saying a very big thank you to Mauro. You made my dad’s day, you assisted with his disabilities and nothing was to much trouble. 5* service

Taxi driver like no other - what a guy! - What a guy! What a day! We bumped in to Mauro by the cable car queue of monstrous size and he offered us a much better alternative to see some of the sights of beautiful Madeira from the comfort of his electric taxi. That afternoon we saw so much including Botanical Gardens, stunning viewpoints, watching the basket men hurtling down behind excited tourists in a wicker sofa, high points in the mountains, lunch in Fisherman's Village and finally back to Funchal by the market. All the time, Mauro waiting patiently for us to have the best of every stop. He was so good we booked Mauro for the full day and he didn't disappoint. He's such a considerate driver, so knowledgeable about his island, (no matter how stupid our questions were) and we saw more beauty in a day than we could have planned for ourselves. Again,he never rushed us and explained so much about everything we saw. Thanks Mauro, we highly HIGHLY recommend you and will see you when we return to Madeira.

Excellent experience - On our way to the hop on hop off bus we met Mauro and had a nice chat so we booked a Funchal tour to have a bit more of the town. What a lovely time and experience. So we decided to book a full day tour with him to visit a bit more of Madeira as we only had 4 days. We saw plenty of nice locations that people not usually get to see as well as more well known places like Porto Moniz or Sao Vicente. We will definitely recommend Mauro as an excellent guide and driver. Thank you for this wonderful time.

Lovely in every way - Lovely trip visiting places you wouldn't normally visit. Mauro friendly, helpful and has extremely good knowledge of the island. He makes you feel safe comfortable & nothing is rushed. Would very highly recommend.

Swimming in the pools and in the little chefs - Mauro was our driver for 3 days, we visited Porto Moniz, Santana and the central area of Funchal. We were able to see everything that was marked. We love and recommend. In the end led us to drink the famous Soft and Good. Top 👍🏻

Great Service, binding prices, cheaper than local car hire. - Individual tours, super friendly, binding fixed prices. Cheaper than renting a car in Funchal for 3 days. Individual OneWay hiking tours are thus possible away from the "ant roads" of mass tourism, never parking problems. Mauro waits until he wants to continue.

I recommend Service 5 stars - Very professional, a very calm driving, always attentive to the times to avoid the excursions (a plus value). Simple and practical tips without ever complicating. Of an exemplary education and the car always very clean. You can book without fear, I recommend to those who want to see the wood without rush.
