Douro Three Winery Tour - Book Now, Simply Amazing! - Cooltour Oporto exceeded our expectations for the Douro Wine Tasting Tour. We love wine and supporting small producers so when we were looking for a tour most of the other tours seemed very generic and were going to the same places. While we wanted to taste port we really wanted to try some other wines too and this tour did that. We went to 3 different small wineries and received amazing history and tastings. The first one had cats, history and excellent white, red and one port wine. Our excellent guide Rodrigo then whisked us off to the next winery driving through breathtaking scenery. He made stops at amazing viewpoints and gave us some more background about the Douro Valley. Our 2nd winery had a gorgeous tasting room that they recently completed with spectacular visuals of the history of their family and wine making. The wine tasting was beautifully set up and we enjoyed hearing about each wine. The final stop was up high with the most stunning views of the valley where we enjoyed a homemade lunch with way too much food, wine and a dessert (a heavenly creme brulée). Rodrigo then took us around the property to explain how port is made there. After the tour we sampled 4 different ports including a rose one which I didn’t even realize was possible for a port and even a vintage 2014 one. The staff at every winery was so lovely and welcoming it made the day so special. While you are not doing the river cruise here, honestly didn’t feel like we needed that at all. Hearing the history and tasting the love that goes into these wines was just absolutely unforgettable. Thank you Cooltour & Rodrigo, we will never forget this adventure and definitely made us want to come back in the future.

Douro Tour - We had a wonderful day and learned a lot about port wine and then got to taste some. The drive there was very pleasant as we got out of the city and saw different scenery. It was very interesting to see the vineyards and learn of their history. We also met some owners and heard stories directly from them. We ate authentic Portugal tapas and had lunch. Our tour guide was cheery and enthusiastic and even gave us some additional information about other places in Porto that we might want to do. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to get out of Porto and enjoy a very relaxing day.

Excellent Duoro Valley Tour - We had an amazing time on this tour, Filipe (our tour guide) was super friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the valley and Portugal in general, he even gave us a great tip on where to go on the days following our tour.
The two vineyards we visited were delightful, food was delicious and the wine and port were incredible. Definitely recommend doing the boat tour as well as it's so peaceful and relaxing. If you are travelling to Porto this a must-tour as it gives you an appreciation of how the region has been producing port and wine for centuries and if you are lucky to have Filipe as a tour guide you will be guaranteed a fun day out :)

Douro Valley tour - Great day out of Porto! The tour had 6 people and started at a winery (1.5 hours from Porto) followed by a cruise, lunch and then a port tasting. The winery and port estate were both excellent - lovely hosts and beautiful products. Our guide was fantastic.

FANTASTIC! - We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous day in the Douro Valley with our guide Violeta! We opted for the relaxed version of the trip and it was lovely. Violeta was great fun, full of interesting facts about the region, wine, history, she was great! We had a delicious lunch with wine tasting, a wonderful boat ride and an unforgettable trip to the vineyards with spectacular views, a port cocktail & tawny port tasting. Book this now! It's a must if you're visiting Porto or the region!
