• Porto - Our family business is meticulously organized to offer you an unforgettable experience. Embark on an approximately 8-hour journey through the best parts of the Douro Valley. The adventure begins with a 1-hour trip where the guide will discuss Portugal, the regions we traverse, and answer all your questions. Along the way, we will pass through significant areas such as Amarante, known for its green wine; Serra do Marão, featuring one of Europe’s longest tunnels; and Vila Real, a key city in the northern region’s development. This trip promises to be fantastic, filled with stories about our country.
• Amarante - Our first stop, Amarante, boasts the majestic Serra do Marão and the Tâmega River, which flows through the city, enhancing the charm of its picturesque houses. The city, possibly founded by the Roman centurion Amarantus, connects the provinces of Minho and Trás-os-Montes. In the 13th century, St. Gonçalo, a Benedictine monk and the city’s patron saint, constructed a bridge over the Tâmega. Amarante is also famous for its sweets, including papos de anjo, brisas do Tâmega, toucinho do céu, bolos de São Gonçalo, and galhofas, available in local cake shops and cafés.
• Peso Da Régua - Peso Da Régua (Pass By) We will travel along the most beautiful road in Portugal, the National Road 222, offering stunning views alongside the Douro River. This incredible journey leads to the first wine estate.
• Quinta do Tedo - With a local guide, you will explore all stages of wine production, from the vineyards to the stamping area, through to the barrels and bottling. Much of the work is done by hand. They offer very exclusive wines, and wine tasting will be served in a magical setting.
• Pinhão - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you will savor the gastronomy of northern Portugal. This unique dining experience offers a chance to socialize, share experiences, and taste typical Portuguese products. Everything is included, and you will have the opportunity to taste two different Douro DOC wines in unlimited quantities.
• Douro River - Enjoy a delightful boat cruise on a Rabelo, the traditional boat that transported barrels to Porto, making it a special experience. This cruise takes place in one of the most beautiful areas of the Douro Valley, surrounded by vineyards. Customers will even have the chance to steer the boat, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
