• Barragem Caniçada - Kayaking offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the hidden corners of the Caniçada reservoir in the Gerês National Park. These easy-to-use kayaks provide stunning views from the water, opportunities to dive, and the chance to stop and explore the shores. Whether with family or friends, a kayak tour is always a fantastic choice. It offers a completely different perspective of Gerês.

• Miradouro da Pedra Bela - Standing at 829 meters, the Pedra Bela viewpoint is perhaps the most renowned in the area due to its breathtaking scenic beauty. The landscape resembles a natural amphitheater, with the Rio Caldo bridges and the entire Caniçada reservoir as a backdrop.

Here, you can enjoy the refreshing shade of cedars and birches, find a small fountain, and several tables for a snack break while admiring the view, just as Miguel Torga did in his poem “Pátria.”

• Cascata do Arado - The Arado Waterfall, located on the Arado River in the heart of Gerês, is situated at an altitude of around 900 meters, creating a series of unique cascades among the rocks.

The journey to the waterfall is captivating, showcasing the natural beauty of Gerês, and this waterfall is a must-see.

• Fojo do Lobo de Fafião - Fojos are ancient wolf traps. This animal, now protected, was hunted for centuries due to the fear it instilled in mountain people, its association with the supernatural, and its attacks on livestock. These structures, now cultural heritage, are found only in the North of the Iberian Peninsula.

The Fojo dos Lobos de Fafião is considered one of the best-preserved in the Iberian Peninsula and symbolizes the local community’s history, culture, and the struggles between humans and wolves.

• Miradouro de Fafião - At 800 meters, two large granite blocks support a suspension bridge offering an invaluable view over the lush valleys of the Cabril and Cávado Rivers. The impressive MIRADOURO DO FAFIÃO, located at the top of the village that shares its name, is one of the new panoramic attractions in the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Visitors might be welcomed by groups of butterflies or goats grazing nearby.

• Pincães Cascate - The Pincães Waterfall is one of the most stunning waterfalls in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, and the natural pool at its base is truly delightful. On hot days, taking a dip in its crystal-clear emerald waters is almost irresistible.

We pick you up from your accommodation, and your adventure begins! Our first stop is at the reservoir of Caniçada for an unforgettable kayak trip.

After this refreshing time, we will go through some of the hiking trails by the mountain and viewpoints with stunning landscapes.
In the afternoon, we have some free time to visit some villages and explore the people and culture along the way. Enjoy the afternoon at a lagoon, where you can dive into crystal-clear water if you feel up to it. We show you the best places in the area, off the beaten tracks.
