Incredibile Duoro Valley Experience - Fernando is flexible, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. Everybody knows him. The quintas we visited were stunning. The tasting guides made us laugh. I want to do it again and bring more friends!

Good value for money trip - Took the Get Your Guide LIVING TOURS small group day trip in English to the Douro Valley, with Luis as the guide. Superb trip,
Great lunch in a family owned winery, plus another visit to a port winery. Good explanations and good fun , plus an hour boat ride on the river. Good value for money.

Wonderful day touring the Douro Valley. - We spent two full days with Fernando during our stay in Porto. The first day we did a private Douro valley tour. We started the day with a scenic drive and a stop at an overlook and then progressed to a local winery where we had a tour and a tasting. From there we went and visited Palacio de Mateus, where we joined a tour of the palace and explored the beautiful gardens. Next we visited our second winery and had a fabulous lunch and learned how well port wine goes with chocolate cake. After lunch we took another scenic ride through the valley and down to the river where we hopped on a boat for a relaxing cruise. We finished the day by visiting a final winery with spectacular views.

Daytripping from Porto - One cloudy winter day this February our host Fernando created a perfect private day trip to the Douro region for us.
Knowing that the vineyards are on winter-break he added sights not so depending on season – like
Amarante, Mateus, Magellan’s birth town Sabrosa with a great lunch-stop just next door, Pinhão, some great vineyard vistas and finally a nice tasting at the Pacheca winery.
A perfect day at a not so perfect season to visit the region.

Beautiful tour in the Douro Wine Region with Fernando and our Family. - Fernando took my husband, our four year old son and I on a tour of the Douro Valley. He was a literal saint with our son, Max - kind, patient, attentive, and very fun!! He accepted our procrastination in booking, and helped us out for a last minute tour.
We were able to do several stops, scenic overlooks, a delicious lunch, and a beautiful tasting.
Each spot he picked felt well thought out, quaint, locally owned and operated.
I highly recommend the lunch spot, VintageTheory - Boutique Porto Winery. It is on a beautiful property and had great food. (Even takes you by Magellan the explorers childhood home!)
We really wanted to see the valley as we had heard it was beautiful, but we were hesitant to make the drive out on our own. He made it possible with our son!!
His van was perfect for a big group or a kiddo. Safe, clean, comfortable!!
Fernando is also helpful with any other needs or if you need recommendations! (Rental cars, other tours, beaches, events, etc.)

Wonderful Douro Valley day trip from Porto with a fantastic guide Fernando Almeida - We had a wonderful tour of the Douro Valley Tour Without Wine from Portoone Tours with our guide Fernando Almeida. It was a private tour and Fernando took us to several vineyards with beautiful views and we also enjoyed a great lunch overlooking a vineyard while we had a great conversation with Fernando.
Everyone in our group enjoyed the places we went to - starting with the Monastery and then the Mateus Palace - which had a great history and many religious artifacts, and then onwards to the Douro Valley and to several vineyards overlooking great vistas of the river and valley.
We left the itinerary to Fernando and he did not disappoint. We were very happy that we chose this tour with him and would definitely take another tour with him in the future and highly recommend Portoone Tours to anyone who wants do a private tour

Incredible Memories Made - What an outstanding experience we had with Fernando. He has such passion for this area of Portugal. He is so well informed. Our day started at a beautiful family vineyard, in the gorgeous
Douro Valley with a private tasting. From there we saw the breathtaking vistas deep in the heart of the Douro Valley followed by the breathtaking Mateus Palace with another well informed tour. Next was a spectacular lunch and wine tasting in Sabrosa and a stop at a wealthy family home. More breathtaking views, another well informed wine tasting, and a stop in Amarnte for a 16th century church and back to Porto. A trip to the Douro Valley should not be attempted alone. I highly recommend Fernando to guide you on a history rich memorable day. He will also photograph for you along the way. Thank you Fernando we will remember this day for a lifetime.

Great private driver for Duoro Valley!! - Fernando was a wonderful private driver. We took us to so many beautiful areas and organized a fabulous lunch and wine tasting. We was on time and made our day so memorable!

Wonderful last day spent with an incredible tour guide - Fernando! Fantastic food, wine, and scenery! - Last minute booking and Fernando came highly recommended by another couple we met on our trip! Fantastic time on our last day in Porto!
Highly recommended to anyone interested in seeing something outside the city of Porto. Amazing landscape and wine. The recommended place Fernando took us to for lunch was one of our best meals in Porto!

Amazing Full Day Douro Valley Tour - Fernando provided us an unforgettable full day tour of the Douro Valley. Fernando was kind and accommodating. We began with a prompt pick up at our hotel in Porto (across from the Cathedral) and arrived at Quinta Sears D’Ordens before any crowd. We basically had a private experience. The five wines and olive oil were fantastic. We had a special treat of the best figs I’ve ever had in my life.
We had an amazing visit to Palace of Mateus and the magnificent grounds.
From there, we had fantastic photos above the valley followed be a full course lunch with a mini tasting. We ended the day at Pacheca. We sat outside in the most beautiful atmosphere. Hard to say which winery we as our favorite but I’d highly recommend both.
Fernando was very efficient to get us to each location, took extensive pride in helping us capture many pictures, and made the day a once in a life time experience for us. Thank you Fernando!
