- Portovenere - The journey commences in Portovenere, the entrance to the Cinque Terre and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Viewed from the sea, the vibrant tower houses lining the harbor create an immediate visual delight. As the boat sails past the village, the Church of San Pietro is clearly visible, perched on the rocky promontory, with the Doria Castle towering above. Starting in Portovenere offers an immediate immersion into a landscape where history, architecture, and nature seamlessly blend—a first impression that sets the stage for the tour’s entire beauty.
- Grotta di Byron - From the sea, Byron’s Cave presents a stunning natural amphitheater, with sheer cliffs and waves creating captivating light and foam effects. Named after the English poet Byron, who drew inspiration here and was known to swim in these waters, it remains one of Portovenere’s most evocative landmarks, where nature and culture converge.
- Monesteroli - From the sea, the tiny hamlet of Monesteroli can be seen clinging to the cliffside, accessible only by its steep stone staircase, making it truly unique. The houses appear suspended between rock and sea, offering a rare and fascinating view that reveals its dramatic beauty only from the water.
- Riomaggiore - The first of the Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore unveils itself from the sea with its colorful houses cascading steeply towards the small harbor. From the boat, the breathtaking view of the village clinging to the cliffs perfectly sets the tone and atmosphere of the Cinque Terre experience.
- Manarola - The second of the Cinque Terre, Manarola stands out with its village dramatically perched on the cliff overlooking the sea. From the boat, the row of colorful houses appears to rise directly from the rocks, creating one of the most photographed and iconic views in all of Liguria.
- Corniglia - The third of the Cinque Terre, Corniglia is the only village not directly on the sea. From the boat, it appears perched high on the cliffs, with its clustered houses set on terraces surrounded by vineyards. Seen from the water, it offers a distinctive and unique view, highlighting its connection with the land rather than the harbor.
- Vernazza - The fourth of the Cinque Terre, Vernazza is one of the most striking villages when viewed from the sea, with its natural harbor nestled in the bay and overlooked by the Doria Castle tower. From the boat, you can admire the unique harmony between the village, the cliffs, and the sea. Here, visitors can either go ashore to explore the village, with its alleys and seaside square, or take advantage of the stop for a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the bay.
- Monterosso al Mare - The fifth and final of the Cinque Terre, Monterosso is the largest and flattest village. From the boat, its wide sandy beaches—unique in the area—stand out, along with the village divided between the historic center and the modern seafront. Here, guests can choose either to go ashore and explore the village, with its alleys and seaside promenade, or to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters before heading back.
