We recommend WANDERER Travel - We booked a private tour with another operator 2 months ago but was cancelled by them 2 days before our tour without any explanation. It was a blessing in disguise to have found WANDERER Travel as a replacement. WANDERER was fast to respond to our email and provided the link and clear instructions on time slot to book for the Postojna cave. WANDERER was also flexible to accommodate our request on some slight changes. The private tour guide, Hrvoje, arranged for us was excellent and very experienced. He is friendly, helpful and has good knowledge of the places covered in the tour.

Flexible and interesting sights - Good communication from the provider to arrange everything and even reminded us to buy the tickets for the cave and castle, messaged day before reminding us to bring passports etc. Lots of flexibility on their end - we were stuck in traffic for over an hour and had to get our tickets changed. Anton (Toni) helped us with this and did not rush us. We got to see everything which was great. Toni was also very personable, knowledgeable and great company on the long drive. The cave and castle are really interesting. Unique for sure. We didn’t spend too much time in Ljubljana, felt as though there wasn’t too much to do.

Go to Slovenia! - Highly recommend this trip. Our driver, Darko was special. Friendly and pleasant to chat with...and he took us to a great place for lunch. After Darko picked us up at our hotel in Zagreb, we headed for Slovenia. The only semi hassle was that the line at border control took a while, so plan a little extra time. We left at 8:00 for our 11:30 tickets at Postojama Cave. The Cave is fascinating, but beware it's cold in there, so bring an extra layer. There's an electric train that takes you part way and then you walk and stop at various points to listen to the audio guide which is quite informative. The next stop was the Predjama Castle. In a picturesque setting, this castle (really a fortress) was also interesting and worth seeing. And then it was on to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It's a sweet town, with a river running through it, and 3 bridges crossing it near the main square. Lots of cafes, bars and gelato as well as plenty of shops for a bit of retail therapy. (Unfortunately most shops were closed as it was Sunday evening.) We enjoyed our trip and truly appreciated Darko's insights and careful driving. It was a special day.

Our departure was delayed and that of the other customers because we did not recognize him in the hotel reception.</p>
