Sensational day out couldn’t recommend anymore . Guide was so friendly and a great lad - This was absolutely exceptional !! Couldn’t recommend this any more to anyone . They took us on an amazing tour up the mountain and our guide Jason told us lodes of information about Crete and showed us how they make there lovely olive oil . We then saw unbelievable views up the mountains and fed goats . We stoped at a shepards house and tried his cheeses he makes and it was so tasty . The stories they tell you about gods and war and how things are done seems unreal .We found out shout the plateau and a bomb bell . This trip also come with lunch which was outstanding . Our guide Jason made this trip better than it ever could have been telling us all of his stories and information . This is an amazing day out you can’t miss . Couldn’t recommend any more for a good day out in Crete adventuring into the mountains and villages seeing how people used to live and how they do now . So goodddd

Crete island tour with lunch Safari club - Booked through TUI at our hotel. The pick up was spot on time and the driver RUDD1 was excellent. Only three couples shared a Mercedes vito which was very comfortable over unmade surface. The route took us through some excellent countryside and the lunch provided was very good indeed. Would recommend to elder visitors especially using the Vito rather than a Land Rover. This is a 100% genuine feedback.

Amazing day out exploring Crete off road - Amazing day out with our tour guide Mike he was so friendly and taught us about the culture of Crete. Lunch was fantastic big portions lots of homemade Greek food. It gets chilly in the mountains so take suitable clothing and a coat. We sampled cheese, wine, raki and olives. We shared a jeep with one other family, 8 of us in total. My teenage boys 12 and 14 were very impressed. Well worth the money. Fun lively atmosphere great for anyone looking to see more of the country. Lots of laughter and singing. Would 100% recommend! Best part of the holiday! Thank you to Mike and all the safari club family.

Brilliant day, even in the wind and rain! - We have had SUCH a fabulous day. The weather is awful and we booked this before arriving, so in the rain and wind we expected the day to be a bit of a flop. As it happens, this was the perfect activity for such weather. We were collected from the hotel and shared the vehicle with another family, who were lovely. Our driver, Jason, was excellent. So interesting, funny and lovely with the kids. Jason had extensive knowledge of the area and told us many facts and anecdotes. I was especially fascinated to hear about the Nazi occupation of Crete in the 1940s. We visited a range of places, including an olive oil factory, a shepherd's home-where home made goat's cheeses were produced and sold and our day finished with an authentic Cretan meal at a traditional taverna. The food was amazing, and plenty of it, and there was wine and rake included. The wine was refilled as soon as they looked near to empty, without anyone having to ask. The rain and wind were annoying but, overall, didn't spoil our day because everything was so well organised. Even the teenagers with us said what a great experience they'd had. I'd recommend this activity to anyone holidaying in Crete, this was an ideal day out for single travellers, couples or families. I will be telling other people at the hotel about it and suggesting they book in. Thank you for a really fabulous day.

A Crete Road Trip - What a day. We were picked up at 8.30 from our hotel very promptly in a 4x4 by our tour guide. His name was Leon (hope I’ve spelt that correctly) and he was half South African and half Greek. We spent the day driving all over the lovely, vibrant and green mountains and hills of Crete. We did lots of interesting stops and saw ancient washing machines and gorgeous plane trees. We went to an oil press and learnt how olive oil was made and even popped in to see how a shepherd makes cheese (free tasters and both stops). Halfway through the day we stopped and fed some goats including some kids. Lunch was at a traditional restaurant in a little village. The people were incredibly friendly and generous. The food was flavoursome, filling and fantastic. Would highly recommend this tour.
We experienced all sorts of weather throughout the day that meant some of the views were obscured by cloud. However, the ones we did see were excellent.
