Set off on a private full-day journey from Bucharest, combining tales of legends, royalty, and the recent communist era. Enjoy the comfort of a private vehicle with a professional guide as your driver, while exploring sites associated with both Dracula and Ceausescu.
Begin with a visit to Snagov Palace, where the Ceausescus sought refuge during the 1989 Revolution, and explore their opulent lakeside residence. Nearby, uncover the enigmatic Snagov Monastery—believed to be the burial site of Dracula himself.
Next, travel to Târgoviște to see the military base where the Ceausescus were tried and executed in December 1989, and the Princely Court—Dracula’s former fortress and the first capital of Wallachia.
After a lunch break at a renowned restaurant, proceed to the magnificent Brâncoveanu Palace in Potlogi, a Neo-Romanian architectural masterpiece and the setting of the dramatic tale of one of Romania’s wealthiest rulers. This Palace will be visited instead of Snagov, if the latter is unavailable for visits (to be confirmed).
