• Sanssouci Palace - Sanssouci served as the summer residence for Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, in Potsdam, near Berlin. The palace is renowned for its numerous temples and follies within the park. Designed and constructed by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff between 1745 and 1747, it was created to provide King Frederick with a private retreat away from the formalities of the Berlin court.
• Glienicke Bridge - The Glienicke Bridge spans the Havel River in Germany, linking the Wannsee district of Berlin with Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg. Named after the nearby Glienicke Palace, the current bridge, the fourth at this location, was completed in 1907. It underwent significant reconstruction after sustaining damage during World War II.

During the Cold War, as this section of the Havel River marked the border between West Berlin and East Germany, the bridge was frequently used for exchanging captured spies, earning it the nickname “Bridge of Spies.”

• Holländisches Viertel - The Dutch Quarter, or Holländisches Viertel, is a neighborhood in Potsdam featuring 134 red Dutch brick buildings, most of which have been restored. Constructed from 1733 to 1740 and designed by Jan Bouman under the orders of Frederick William I of Prussia.
• Alexandrowka - The Russian colony Alexandrovka is situated in northern Potsdam. Commissioned by King Frederick William III of Prussia, it was built in 1826/27 for the last twelve Russian singers from a former choir of 62 soldiers.

Due to the familial and friendly ties between the Hohenzollern and Romanov dynasties, the colony was named in memory of Tsar Alexander I, who passed away in 1825. As part of Potsdam’s cultural landscape, the colony is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

• Old Market Square - The Old Market Square is a central square in downtown Potsdam, forming the historical heart of the city. It encompasses the area surrounding St. Nicholas’ Church.
• St. Nikolai-Kirchengemeinde - St. Nicholas Church in Potsdam is a Lutheran church located on the Old Market Square. This Classicist-style central plan building, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, was designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and constructed between 1830 and 1837. The 77-meter-high church tambour, towering above the city roofs, was built between 1843 and 1850 by Ludwig Persius and, from 1845, Friedrich August Stüler.

Towards the end of World War II, the church was damaged during a British air raid on Potsdam and further harmed by Soviet artillery fire. After extensive restoration, the church was re-consecrated in 1981 by the Evangelical Parish of St. Nicholas, Potsdam, and is now open to visitors. In addition to regular church services, concerts are also held in the church.
