Mandatory - Alessandra explanation was great. She speaks truly by hearth about her city and this is something you can feel all the time while she shows you the downtown

Information and interesting Tour of the beautiful Poznan - A very informative, interesting young lady. A must to do to appreciate the beautiful Poznan. The trip met in the Freedom Square, taking in the castle and the Old Town, with a view of the goats at 12pm!

Worth a large note - As with all Walkative tours, informative and worth every effort and costs.
Costs are up to you, on this occasion, I had no change and had to part with a large bill but I did so gladly, as it was well worth it

Informative and enjoyable - The guide was great; she was really friendly and informative, funny too. We used the tour to orientate ourselves when we arrived, and while doing so we learnt a a lot about the history of the city. We really enjoyed it.

Excellent Tour - Our guide, Susan, was amazing. She is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the history of Poland and particularly Poznan. Susan is personable and professional, and she never skipped a beat. She clearly enjoys her job and her city!

Great tour with interesting facts and information, with sights I would have missed on my own.. - I went on the tour on my first day in Poznan as I wanted to get my bearings a little. Susan was very knowledgeable the pace was right on a hot day and she tried to keep us in the shadows, while passing on the history of Poznan and it's people. I would recommend anyone to take this or other Walkative tours. A great way to spend an hour or so.

A poor tour but better than walking around the old town on your own - Better than nothing as I learnt things I didn't know and went to places I would not have done on my own, but this was a bad example of a free walking tour. There was no narrative - just different explanations of various things at different points, and no attempt to make you understand life in the old time in Poznan throughout the centuries. Far too many dates and names - it was like a disjointed and ill-planned history lesson, focusing on many centuries ago. Lots was assumed by the guide; I happened to learn about the partitions of Poland at school in the UK but most people on the tour would not have known about them and so would have heen baffled when reference to them was casually thrown in with no explanation. There was no attempt to make this fun or interesting - I've done many free walking tours and the best of them can be brilliant - Manchester UK and Sarajevo Bosnia Herzegovina stand out as particularly fine examples - but this was not one of them. Poznan does not seem blessed with free walking tours. It's a shame as a good one would be a wonderful asset to this beautiful, fascinating and friendly city.

Tour operator considers this tour to be optional - so include in your itinerary at your own risk - You'll see other reviews explaining that they booked this tour but it was cancelled at the last minute. I booked this tour, and a few days before the scheduled date I sent an email asking for confirmation that it would take place. I received a response confirming that it would. I accordingly planned that day to include the tour. However, on the day the tour was scheduled, just as I was heading to the starting point, I received a message stating:
"We regret to inform you that today's tour in Poznań has been canceled. Unfortunately, our guide got sick, and we were unable to find a replacement on such short notice. Our sincere apologies."
This is utterly unprofessional. A professional operation anticipates this kind of problem and has a back-up in place. A professional operation does not leave high and dry persons who have traveled far, have a limited time in Poznan, and planned their day around such a tour. It is unprofessional and entirely unacceptable.
Bottom line: understand that this tour operator considers the operation of this tour to be entirely optional. Book and include this tour in your itinerary at your own risk.
